@Peter88902568 I've always laughed when the Mail/Express puts out their stories like "<name_of_country> is going to nuke us".
I'm not laughing now.
@Peter88902568 Sigmund Freud defined the id as the completely unconscious, primitive part of the human psyche.
The digital id has existed since we switched over from analogue.
Few know this.
@ZackPolanski So we should just keep on importing gas from thousands of miles away, which generates CO2 emissions simply by moving?
Also, do you know what we rely on to power the grid when wind can't keep up with demand?
@fishlock92955@GBPolitcs The SDP's economic plan isn't common ownership of all things (socialism), it advocates for a mixed (social-market) economy.
We want things like utilities nationalised because they are monopolised - there is no competition or innovation, & profits go to foreign investors.
@Kairo03_@GBPolitcs Old-school left, like Labour under Clement Attlee - a man who would be spinning in his grave if he could see today's Labour government.
@RedDyke69@GBPolitcs How is it "Reform Lite"?
The SDP is a pro working class party, with proactive policies, taking inspiration from the Attlee government.
Reform is a party with a load of reactionary policies, backed by millionaires & corporations, & is very Thatcherite.
@ZiaYusufUK "Reform: The Anti Establishment Party"
Brought to you by a guy who's using the revolving door between the Reform Party & Goldman-Sachs, because GS called it a day on the Tories.
@NationalReilly As a member of the SDP, ideally we want net zero immigration.
Unfortunately previous governments have made us rely on immigration e.g. for healthcare staff.
We absolutely want to train more Brits to fill these jobs, but an unfortunate reality of training is that it takes time.
William Clouston (@WilliamClouston), SDP, is standing to give the people of Clacton full and fair debate. π
@UKLabour won't serve Clacton.
@Conservatives won't serve Clacton.
@LibDems won't serve Clacton.
@TheGreenParty won't serve Clacton.
We will.
