NEW: An SU Football spokesperson tells me last year’s graduating class ended up with a 100-percent success rate of players either in NFL camps or having employment in their field of study by July👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
COOL: Fran Brown says SU Football has a program called "Syracuse 60," which guarantees players a job within 60 days of graduating.
"It's important that I get you a job making meaningful money inside of your major," he said.
Ten years ago, my math teacher, Gary Kulik, had us write letters to our future selves. He kept them for a decade, and today I got mine back.
I may have forgotten that day's math lesson, but I’ll never forget the impact of a teacher who cared this much.
Thank you, Mr. Kulik.
This is a great watch. GMAC’s speech to the players after the Day 1 workout:
“The way you build a championship team is by what you do everyday, not the first day”🔥
Recapping Joey Spallina's debut with the Whipsnakes:
🔶2 goals (One off of a Billy Dwan III assist)
🔶3 assists (One of which moved Rob Pannell into 2nd place on the pro-lacrosse all-time points list
🔶5 points total
And he got to do it all in front of his Dad. Pretty, pretty good.
A great moment as LI’s Rob Pannell moves into second place on the pro lacrosse all-time points list thanks to an assist by LI’s Joey Spallina. It was Spallina’s first PLL game.
Pannell needs 14 points to break the all-time mark. @SuffolkHOF
Spallina on getting the chance to play alongside @RobPannell3
“It’s going to be great. I think he’s probably the best attackman if not one of the top two or three in the world. To be able to learn from him is going to be great.”
The two go way back🍊
Fran Brown says he’s learned a lot this year from the coaches he has on staff.
“It feels good not being the most intelligent one in the room,” he said.
Said this year he’s focused on being demanding without being demeaning
Dan Arestia on Finn Thomson in his article for USA Lacrosse: "He’s got exceptional hands, is tremendous off ball, and is a creative and effective goal scorer...also played very well with the ball in his stick."
Mets No. 2 prospect Jonah Tong, who was scratched from today's start at Triple-A Syracuse, is fully healthy, according to multiple sources. That obviously implies that Tong could be in play for a call-up, but there has been no word to that end. He's still in Syracuse.
NEWS: Syracuse and Rutgers are working to finalize an agreement to meet next season at the Barclays Center, according to multiple sources.

PxP Broadcaster Anish Shroff details how SU MLAX can beat Notre Dame
"They gotta play probably their best game of the year," he said.
Says the team has the pieces, but will have to play clean, smart, and disciplined for 60 minutes🍊
I spoke with @danarestia on why Notre Dame will be a tough opponent for SU to beat.
"Notre Dame will do all the fundamental things, and they'll do them all perfectly well. You will have to play a clean, intelligent, and efficient game to beat them."
Alright, rooks.
Congratulations to Sammy English and Owen Hiltz after leading the Toronto Rock to its 11th NLL Cup. English was named MVP as well.

Joey Spallina said he hadn't processed that the game against Yale was his last in the Dome until a moment after the game.
"A little kid towards the end was like 'I'm sad I'm not going to see you again.' I was kind of taken back by it"🥹
