Offering a subscription like all the other #plugin providers is absolutely necessary, hopefully some “rent to own” down the line, but shouldn’t be the only way to use/obtain their products.

@WavesAudioLtd made a great decision today to nix their subscription only for their #plugins It was a very poor choice that leading up to the launch of sub-only they didn’t warn their customers about updating their products before that happened.

Again, applaud @WavesAudioLtd for making the right decision to not continue with going subscription only to use their products. The strength of their products is not only quality but the various options at affordable prices.

Their marketing choice up till then simply stated to “register” any #plugins to your accounts cause of a “new system” nothing about how your perpetual “legacy” products would be stuck to their last updated version.
