@stilljusttheone@mikelavelle93 You cant say you're in our head when you're still pissing the bed about Wigan's success in the 80s. And we didnt cheat, we just had better players than you
@EastHullBloke@SuperLeague Maybe your idea of an area is questionable, driven by your need to restrict the definition of a derby so that only your own favourite fixture meets it, and giving it more relevance than the actual interest in the game generates
@EastHullBloke@SuperLeague Wigan v Leigh is in the same town but hasn't been regarded as a derby in the past because Wigan v Saints is a massive derby, and Leigh have always been crap. That is changing now that Leigh are decent and Derek keeps gobbing off
@EastHullBloke@SuperLeague Any 2 teams from the same area who have a strong rivalry.
Cas v Wakey is a derby as they are next door to each other and operate at a similar level.
Leeds v Wakey isn't really regarded as a derby to the best of my knowledge, probably because Leeds have always been miles better.
@__LB_87__@SuperLeague The teams don't have to be in the same city for a game to be a derby. This is a crucial misunderstanding on the part of almost everyone in Hull. Wigan v Saints is without doubt the bigger derby. FC v KR is just Ull Plasticurrrr
@EastHullBloke@SuperLeague Collins: A derby is a sporting event involving teams from the same area or city
Chambers: A derby is a sporting event involving teams from the same area or city
OED: A match between two teams from the same district
Cambridge: A sports event between teams in the same area or town
@EastHullBloke@SuperLeague You don't even understand the definition of definition. Nowhere states that a derby has to be in the same city or town except the underdeveloped brains of Hull residents
@EastHullBloke@SuperLeague People from v Hull are incredibly confident about their derby opinions, which is very amusing given that so few of them understand the definition of a derby
@johnnyddavidson Yeah, I know, I wasn't being serious. It is a sickener, though, that the biggest stars of RL need to cross to RU to get the recognition and financial reward they deserve. In an ideal world Farrell and Edwards would still be in our game, but our game couldn't match their ambition
@totalrl Combined Hull FC and Hull KR average attendances in 2025 is around 23k.
Same figure for Wigan and Leigh is 26k.
The Metropolitan Borough of Wigan would appear to be the capital of Rugby League
