You can still have an #iatrogenic#csfleak with a normal MRI, negative ct myelogram, and failed blood patches. Bc I did! My textbook leak symptoms started 24 hrs after my spinal block & went away after my 360 blood/fibrin patch done at Duke University. #csfleakawareness#advocacy
@AndrewCallenMD opened our inaugural Bridging the Gap conference with a stirring call to action. We'll be sharing more videos from the conference throughout the coming days and weeks!

@AndrewCallenMD@AndrewCallenMD, thank you for your time & expertise! This webinar was very informative. You can definitely tell you have a passion for CSF leaks. Your advocacy for all those who are suffering is incredible. It’s almost as if you know the true suffering people are experiencing.
@PayeTonPseudo1@OGdukeneurosurg@KerenLeah I am not super familiar w/ sjögren disease but after looking it up.. it sounds like the symptoms could be leak related. My sinuses always felt extremely dry & I also dealt with POTS/dysautonomia while leaking. Did you get diagnosed w/ this before or after getting your leak?
@PayeTonPseudo1@OGdukeneurosurg@KerenLeah Oh I know exactly what you mean. You feel like you’re going crazy. It’s the most insane thing I’ve ever experienced. Felt like I was on hardcore drugs being outside plus the sunlight was so bright.
@PayeTonPseudo1@OGdukeneurosurg@KerenLeah Yeah I never left the house unless it was to head to the ER or a doctors appt. I couldn’t tolerate being in the car. I could feel my brain sliding around & once I would get to where I needed to go.. I would get these horrific vibrations in my head. Felt like I was seizing 😅
@KerenLeah So important. So thankful for doctors who are in this field & that the interest for csf leaks is increasing. My heart breaks for everyone who is still suffering. Are you still leaking dear?
@OGdukeneurosurg@KerenLeah Oh & last thing the most invisible illness. My leak never showed on imaging regardless of my debilitating symptoms & with failed blood patches (in the beginning)… it was hard to find doctors who believed me. Thankfully, I got to duke & was sealed with a fibrin & blood patch 🙌🏼
