Second of three recent illustrations created for Toboggan Flats, a co-living apartment space repurposing vacant office buildings. Thanks to @wearequake1 !
Personal work loosely based on the hotel I stayed at in San Francisco. While there I sketched out a few ideas about mysterious hotel experiences. Hope to finish a few more of them between client work when I can.

For @HoustoniaMag for a story about the city’s newest luxury properties competing for high-earning residents. This actually sits horizontally in the mag and you have to turn it sideways to view. I also did the cover and another spread in this issue that I’ll post later.
Another client sketch that I finished, made a few adjustments from the original idea. I think this one wasn’t right for the original job but I couldn’t let it die.
Hawaii may soon have America’s first official state gesture. Hawaiian legislators are due to vote on a bill that would make the shaka—the “hang loose” gesture—a state symbol. For @TheEconomist
Solitude. From a tiny doodle in my sketchbook. I have no idea what this was originally drawn for. Probably an idea for a client that didn’t fit the story.
Recently did this spread and a few other spots for Renaissance Magazine about the things in life that drain our energy. I regret I didn’t illustrate Colin Robinson for the energy vampire spot I also did. Huge thanks to @JosiahGordon and @hamblywoolley
