@MichaelHWood 😳, well she has survived a lot to be fair!
& you do it so well! Gripping!
Thank you! Everyone has a book inside them? Hoping that I do 2 😁
Submitted my portfolio using a couple of my chapters of funnily enough, a crime novel. Ill cry if its slaughtered, then write about it 😂
@Martina Recently visited Auschwitz with my husband. Such a grounding and humbling experience. The atrocities that went on there, too brutal to even comprehend. You are so right. Never forget. Never deny. Never compare. You simply can’t.
Uk law categorically allows for all biological females of any age & any ability to be offered fair sex based sport. Any organisation not doing that is deliberately allowing sex discrimination, its that simple. Tell them loudly females are as worthy as males to it..#fairsport4all
Alan Bates turned down an OBE as Paula Vennells, the woman in charge of the Post Office through the Horizon Scandal, retains her CBE and refuses to give it back.
A man of honour 🙏🏼❤️

Alan, 69: “The first thing that sprang to my mind while reading the letter (offering me an OBE) was Paula Vennells still had a CBE. I felt so deeply insulted. She presided over a policy of harassing hundreds of innocent people. It’s not just that the Government hasn’t asked her to return it. What’s even worse is that despite knowing the strength of feeling about it, how people have suffered and some cases died on her watch – she doesn’t feel inclined to give it back.”
Alan accepted a @PrideOfBritain award in 2023.
We were over the moon to give that to him.

Many survivors of #DomesticAbuse describe the Emotional and Psychological Abuse as damaging, if not more damaging than the physical abuse.
NONE of it is acceptable and if you take a proper look at yourself and recognise those behaviours seek help.

A thread.
At a meeting in Edinburgh last week I bump into the fabulous partnership of screen writer Paul Lavery and film director Ken Loach. We talk about the film the Angels Share and about the Violence Reduction work and @Johncarnochan.
Tyne Bridge
I was asked to draw this in the same week as I had the pleasure of passing under the big beauty of the North.
It took some amount of time but I bloody love it!
