A brother now has to bury his twin because someone brought a knife to a school event. A mother lost her child. A father has to look at his son every day and be reminded there used to be two of them. An entire family is shattered forever.
This isn’t about race. This isn’t about politics. It’s about basic human decency.
A young life was taken, and the punishment doesn’t feel equal to the pain left behind. The victim’s family received a life sentence of grief while everyone else moves on.
YOU ARE PART OF THE PROBLEM OR MUST NOT HAVE ANY KIDS! SHUT UP AND GO ENTERTAIN SOMEONE!
Auburn's resume:
- Almost lost to Bethune-Cookman
- Lost to Purdue by 28
- Lost to Arizona by 29
- Lost to Michigan by 30
- 7-11 in SEC
- Lost 8 out of last 10 games
1 road win at Florida does not make up for all that.
Keep this team away from the NCAA Tournament. 💩
The ACC just had an excellent season, with its premier program Clemson not contributing, but apparently they’re “secret garbage.”
• National Championship appearance
• Miami by themselves won as many CFP games as the entire 5-bid SEC.
• Winning record vs. the SEC (for the second time in the last three years. Five consecutive wins over the SEC to end last season).
• Virginia just won 11 games.
• SMU is 20-7 in two years at the Power 4 level.
• Georgia Tech had their best season since 2016.
• Duke won 9 games for the third time in the last four years.
• Louisville won 9+ games for a third consecutive season.
• 9-4 Wake Forest just had their best season since 2021 in their first year under Jake Dickert.
• FSU, in the midst of a 2-6 year in ACC play, smoked Alabama.
Dabo Swinney and Clemson had a bad year for the first time since 2010 and weren’t in the mix at all, and the ACC was still extremely competitive.
And the narrative is somehow that they are an “afterthought of a conference.”
"We don't celebrate out of control like we just won the World Series after one win."
Clemson head coach Erik Bakich, possibly taking shots at the #Gamecocks, after the Tigers 4-1 win over South Carolina. Says the series finale tomorrow at DKS is a big one.
@abc_columbia
There is no way the SEC should be given more than 3 teams ever again in a 12 team field, or 4 in a 16. Not even sure about those numbers. The league has literally done nothing the last 3 seasons in the playoffs, other than get embarrassed.
The SEC had TEN(!!!) preseason ranked teams. This is the whole reason their teams are overrated today, because they beat overrated teams all season and inflated their resume.
We cannot let that happen again next season.
BREAKING: Clemson DE Will Heldt will return for his senior season, per his agency and @PeteThamel.
Massive news for the Tigers and Tom Allen’s defense.
I remember the committee chair referencing Miami’s “trajectory” earlier in the year and punishing them in the rankings for how they looked.
Here’s Alabama’s last month of football:
• Struggled with 4-8 South Carolina (trailed in the 4th quarter).
• Scored 20 points on 7-5 LSU (2nd fewest of the season, only team they scored less on was 5-7 Florida State).
• Lost at home to the only ranked team they’ve played in the last 6 weeks.
• Struggled with 5-7 Auburn (tied in the 4th quarter).
Is Alabama one of the Top 10 teams in College Football right now?
Clemson beats South Carolina 28-14 🐅
The Tigers beat the Gamecocks for the 9th time in the last 11 years and win for a 6th consecutive time in Columbia.
After starting 1-3, Clemson wins 6 of their last 8 to finish the regular season 7-5.
Kirby Smart yells that he was clapping, but was clearly calling a timeout
lol this is absolutely absurd tonight with SEC officials.
Doesn’t have to use TO, click was reset
Absolutely worth three minutes of your time.
Dan Lanning with a lot of really poignant thoughts on the Charlie Kirk assassination.
"The US could learn a lot from our locker room... You walk in that locker room you've got guys of different races, backgrounds, religions, and you've got a team that loves each other."
H/T @MattPrehm for the question
The Nationals have their guy 😤

Who is the dentist playing in the U.S. Open.
Matt Vogt peered around the white tent, at the cameras, cellphones and notebooks all at the ready in anticipation of his words, and somehow his first five summed up both the scene of his first-ever U.S. Open press conference and his feelings a half day into a surreal week.
"This is pretty wild, guys."
Growing up, he caddied at Oakmont, and you see some things, though Mondays you saw it all, as they’d let the loopers play. “Honestly, we did not appreciate that as much as we should have,” he said. “I mean, thinking about it now, we should have been here every single Monday, but I’d be lying if I said we were.”
Still, he said pro golf wasn’t much of a thought. For a couple years, Vogt played on the Butler University golf team, before settling into dentistry and mid-am golf life.
“Maybe I didn’t dream big enough or maybe, I don’t know, I just never quite had it,” the 34-year-old said Monday. “I played around a lot of guys who you could tell had it and had a chance to make a shot at professional golf. It never really crossed my mind."
@nickpia on the dentist that is feeling right at home this week.

Embarrassing and frustrating.
The amount of times there’s been a hosted regional since the last CWS appearance and nothing has come from it is beyond embarrassing.
