3 white Canes cracked in just 3 weeks! Why? Because people didn’t see them coming as they were too busy on their phones while walking.
But luckily, I had the most awesome experience at the @RNIB shop in London where the most helpful volunteers Annette and Joan made my day.

They helped me choose several new canes so I would have a back-up!
Is Cane Insurance such a thing? Because at this rate I’ll need it!

Today I met with the victims of the #ManchesterAirport incident. I paid my commiserations which but for the grace of God could have been condolences. The brothers are in a bad way physically and emotionally. Their brother a police officer with @gmpolice and their uncle a detective with @metpoliceuk were also present alongside their lawyer @Akhmedyakoob1 There are no fewer than EIGHT police officers in their extended family. One of those was given a Police honour guard at his funeral three months ago in the Bilal Mosque which I attended. That such a family could find themselves in the middle of this situation is bemusing to say the least. I welcome the @policeconduct announcement of a criminal investigation into the actions of one officer. ALL of the officers involved should be suspended from duty forthwith and further criminal investigations launched. But the system is finally working and should be allowed to do so. I am firmly of the view that the protest at the airport this weekend should NOT go ahead. Everyone should display patience and calm at this time. We believe in justice, no matter who it's for or who it is against.

I was on a one way video call where the Aira agent directed me and then to the BA check-in desk. I felt so free as I didn’t need someone to guide me physically in the airport.

Had the liberating experience of using Aira at Boston airport to find my way to the bathroom and then to the British Airways check-in desk.
It was really fun as it felt like I was a live character in a video game.

Another two international trips with @British_Airways and couldn't get audio description. The staff did not know how to turn it on. BA claim to have an accessible system, but it doesn't work.

Photographs came alive as I touched them. It was simply incredible. This was the first time in my life when I went to an exhibition as a blind person and enjoyed every single exhibit. Everyone was able to enjoy the exhibition.

If every cinema was fined £500 every time a blind customer was unable to watch a film without #audiodescription because a headset wasn’t charged or wasn’t available do you think that would help to make cinema #accessible?

I am #blind and I’m a frequent flier. I am today just like the 400 million blind people around the world denied the use of your inflight entertainment system!!!
I’m writing this to you as I sit in the business class section of your plane.

In the meantime, an easy way round is to offer free wifi on board so I can at least use my phone to access Netflix or the internet so I’m not extremely board on the plane!!!

I'm writing to request you look into this as a matter of urgency.
