Recently had 2 EdCamps in our EDTE 4200 class and I had a lot of fun! Got to learn about new and cool gadgets to use in the classroom. Also got to play with some small robots called “Sphero”! Can’t wait to be able to use these in my own classroom😎

@HDisimone04@Ststansberry@doctor2pi@Duncannedd@BarnellNicole@tom_karnes Hi Holly, I think it's great that you would incorporate all these games into your classroom for better student engagement. I would also use some of these fun games so my students don't get bored with repetitive lessons. I agree that learning should be fun and enjoyable. :)
@WilliamSte40561 @Ststansberry@doctor2pi@Duncannedd@BarnellNicole@tom_karnes Hi William, I would also use Canvas for my classrooms, but I do think that this is a norm in all schools now especially high school. I do think that Canvas is super helpful though. I would also like to use Kahoot in my class to help engage students in class lessons. :)
@MrsPG777@tom_karnes@Ststansberry Hi Priscilla! I completely agree. I mentioned that the cost of technology might be the biggest obstacle that a community may face, but I like that you mentioned tech help. I think for many, the lack of tech services is what limits a lot of people as well. :)
@achavez_rios@tom_karnes@Ststansberry Hi Alejandra, I agree with your idea that computers should be loaned out to students and the rest of the community. I also said this in my discussion because cost may be the biggest obstacle people face, which is why many people don't have access to tech.
@tom_karnes A3) One way that technology can be made accessible to everyone is by giving out loaner computers or low cost tech devices. By doing this, then hopefully everyone can have access to tech and learn how to use it. Biggest barrier is likely cost.

@asierra7csub@doctor2pi@Ststansberry Hello Alyssa,
I see that a lot of people mentioned the use of Duolingo. I have never used it myself or looked into the app, but I have heard good things, and I think it would be a great tool to use for ELL students. :)
@mrmahuedu@doctor2pi@Ststansberry Hi Joshua, I think it's cool that you would use PearDeck. I have never used it myself and have never explored this tool fully, but I agree that it could be really helpful for ELLs. I mentioned the use of IXL for my discussion, but PearDeck is a good idea too.
@doctor2pi A program that I feel would be most helpful for ESL students is IXL. I've seen the use of this program in the high schools that I have subbed at, and I think students really enjoy it because it gives them so many resources to help out in class

@RickyVKyle @BarnellNicole@Ststansberry Hi Ricky, I completely agree with you. The use of technology in the classroom can help build relationships between us a teachers and our students. Also, great idea on using tech to host virtual pre-class events. I've never thought about that, but it would be a good idea. :)
@LWheelercsub@BarnellNicole@Ststansberry Hey Lyndsey, I also mentioned that the use of technology allows for the most effective communication between the teacher and their students, and even parents or staff. It's great that you mentioned the increase in collaboration because it is very true and a new class norm. :)
@BarnellNicole A1) By using technology in the classroom, a teacher is able to effectively communicate with students and to show them that you are available to them when most needed. The use of technology can also be more engaging for everyone.
