The one piece, which I'm sure you've considered, I'd say is: The trips should be an enjoyable experience every time, regardless of having done them before or they'll become a chore.

Haven't posted progress in a while as have been a bit sick and busy with work

Have an upgrade now though - LASERS!
Still a bit rough but a new turret type that does damage over time.

Begins a little weak but there's lots of room for upgrades, eventually becoming a powerhouse!

They are not feature-reduced as they resemble more original styles of game that never had many features.

More modern versions should instead be considered feature-dense. Which isn't always a good thing or match a game design.

After dodging 3 years of layoffs I finally got hit, right after moving onto a project I thought was stable for a few years.

I get it. I've had to write difficult comms in the games space that is never going to positive. This has been re-written so many times to dilute the messaging that they're letting people go into as many non-direct, non-offensive words as humanly possible.

It's almost unreadable

Cleared cache
Reinstalled
Opened as Admin
Held my finger over my nose while closing one eye and balancing on one foot

Nothing's working. Just forever showing "Starting". Is this a sign of the times to come?

I would have classed it as simple rage-bait but the lack of a blue tick for farming the engagement, I can only consider this a kink shame at this point.
