@Carpervert Lovely looking 306 D Turbo in the background, just like the one I had at college ten years later. Very nice car, must have belonged to a teacher in 1996.
@ColinTurkington Hope Lewis had a good weekend. @ColinTurkington pretty sure you and I raced at the same Junior Nationals at Nottingham in 1997? Very wet!
@TourGuideLiverp @frontendben I think this illustrates nicely why drivers need to be incentivised not to buy massive cars they don’t need through the tax system, in the same way that they are to buy fuel efficient, non-polluting cars. There is an environmental/social cost to this too.
@benhoward_w Had mine fitted 18 months ago, oil bill down £500 in first year, despite being home 24/7. With local wood supply it’s sustainable and you get to light a fire like a cave man! Hopefully heat pumps will become more widespread soon, but needs more Gov support to happen IMHO.
The aim of the show has always been to entertain and raise money for charity. However, with the recent atrocities in Ukraine, we are now asking for your help more than ever.
Please donate to the Help Ukraine Emergency Appeal at the link below if you can. https://t.co/9bcAW7c4aw
Afghanistan has been betrayed into horror + it’s easy to feel helpless. But we can still support people on the ground. We have a small charity supporting a few 1000. Please donate if you can below. And there are, of course, many other great charities too https://t.co/YfgEl84GGd
Not convinced by these proposals from @mhclg, granting automatic consent for conversion of most commercial uses (including in town centres) to residential. Bold action is required in town centres, but this isn’t it.
