If I hadn't spent so long waiting for KH3 I probably wouldn't even have an opinion on it, I still wouldn't like it, but I probably wouldn't hate it as much

@LairaLyon @SuperButterBuns I'm aware of the discourse, I lived on KH message boards from 04-07, but I would say that it was hated more pre-release. I was one of them, there was a brief time where people thought they were going to pull a Metal Gear 2 bait & switch with Sora and Roxas.

Also, I can assure you that there were just as many people defending Roxas's prologue on KH message boards (relatively) as there are defending KH3

I have played the game you're referring to, but it didn't change how I felt about KH3. What about Kingdom Hearts 3 specifically do you think is such an improvement for the series in general?

@LairaLyon @SuperButterBuns OK, Pavlov. KH2 split the stories of worlds so thay you'd return and instead of just forget them like the one-and-done sequel, it had a goddamn COLISEUM, and the tutorial felt like it's own side-game. The press triangle to win shit sucked, but KH3 was much worse on that

However, I was still disappointed and felt robbed that I paid full price for a game less fleshed out than the 13 year old predecessor

@BobbyFGamer I started playing them in 2002 since apparently that means something and my expectations were already low. No returning to worlds in story. No coliseum. Annoying NPC chatter. "Press Triangle to Win" worse than KH2. Pixar 🤮 Kingdom Heart 2's tutorial was a better game than KH3
