📢 RESIDENT FEATURE: Today, we are featuring @SamPLeonard, MD, MEd . Check out what she's been up to during her time with Dr. @kflynnobrien in @MCWPedSurg!
Dr. Leonard will be presenting at Research Roundtable on Monday, October 27th! #LeadingTheWay
We celebrate our faculty and residents this #InternationalWomensDay! 63% of current residents are women, helping to #BreakTheBias for women in surgery. We are grateful for our faculty mentors who are #LeadingTheWay to a future of medical excellence and equality!

So grateful that @MCWSurgery brought me not only this amazing group of lady interns but also two birthday buddies to celebrate with on the day before intern year!!
This moment brought to you by vaccines ☺️
A mini road trip through Texas to visit family and friends I hadn’t seen in 2+ years was just what I needed to fill my cup before residency starts Monday (!!)
As we approach the new academic year, I have a small list of the best advice I’ve heard or cultivated in order to maximize your training experience. By no means comprehensive. Others have excellent lists.

You: “Hello! Will this be your first dose today?”
Me: “No. Second.”
You nodded and then entered something into the tablet in your hands. Suddenly your head flung up as if you’d forgotten something.
You: “I’m sorry. How y’all doing this evening?”
I offered a thumbs up.
