New Garagym rule.
If you come in and say “it’s cold” or similar…
Your warm up will be a 15 minute Bulgarian Split Squat and Burpee AMRAP.
You’ll be warm then.
“When you do this next set of deadlifts I want you to imagine you’re in a library.”
“OK, so I don’t make so much noise each time I touch the bar down?”
“No, I’d just like you to stop talking.”
I get that life can be busy.
A day here, a day there.
In the short term, missing fitness doesn't seem to make a difference.
It's hard to notice until one day, it becomes obvious.
“I can’t beliiiieve you don’t like brussel sprouts.
Here, try this recipe I found where you add 16 other ingredients to make them taste fucking nothing like brussel sprouts whatsoever.”
The goal is to increase the weights you lift over time.
But most people could get infinitely stronger with lighter weights, just by learning to lift properly.
Knowledge is knowing WHAT you lift is important.
Wisdom is knowing HOW you lift matters more.
