Do you know when you watch a TV series you didn’t expect to enjoy, but it gradually grows on you, and by the end, you’re loving it?

Then comes the second series. A few key characters have changed. Your first reaction is: “Hmm… I’m not sure. I was used to the others.”

But you give it time. Because the storytelling is still in the hands of the same writer.

That’s how I see this new Aston Villa under Unai Emery. There are question marks, of course, and some new characters will take time to grow on you. But after what the previous “series” achieved, perhaps those question marks should be met less with apprehension and more with curiosity.

We know the storyteller. We know what he’s capable of. So give it time. Enjoy the ride, the new memories. And let’s see where this series takes us.

I have to get this off my chest….. this isn’t an I’m a better fan than you tweet ….

On fans leaving early I have to say it does surprise me just how many left after the pen miss tonight…. It was the 84th min.. in a two legged semi final the first for 42 years… with 5 mins of injury time that left 11 mins to get what could have been a very crucial goal..

Now I am fully aware there are quite a few fans who travel a long way to games, I sit by my mate and his two young kids who come from Leeds on a school night so I get that extra few mins can save a massive amount of time going home…

And ultimately I’m sure I will get a few saying I pay my money so it’s up to me. And yes it’s your prerogative to do as you wish… but we are always saying how can we improve the atmosphere and help the lads more and it’s these little things that could make the difference….

I have people by me who leave 10 mins before half time and don’t come back until the 55th min week in week out…

I know I’m going to get hammered by some but I wanted to get it off my chest..

And finally tonight it got very moody by me, one or two really nasty arguments that nearly came to blows between our own fans.. come on we need to be better, we are all gutted it didn’t go our way but turning on your own isn’t the answer, a young girl who has sat in front of me for years was scared and sobbing at the shouting. We had to try and console her…

And I’ve heard of others in the stadium repo similar incidents tonight.

We are one big family and are witnessing a truly amazing season.. let’s not ruin it right at the end…..

I don’t mind if you don’t agree with things I’ve said, I’m very aware we are all different… but no nasty reply’s please
