@PhdRachel She did eventually let me come in on a Saturday the week after losing my grandma to watch a movie for 2.5 hours in order to make up HALF the assignment points. She didn't even have me take notes or answer questions on the film.

@PhdRachel When my grandma passed a vouple semesters ago I had misread the time that an online assignment was due and turned it in 45 mins. because I was at her funeral. Upon explaining this, my professor assumed I was actually cheating during that time.
