Why isn’t the university marking boycott getting more news coverage? Up to 1 in 3 final year students are currently learning they won’t graduate with a grade because of the pay dispute. My daughter - along with many others - has been offered £500 as compensation. After spending £27,750 on course fees, and countless hours and stress doing a dissertation that she was proud of, but has now been told may never be marked. This is outrageous. Quite rightly, students are saying they will tear up their unclassified degrees, because this is offensive. These are the kids who didn’t get to do A levels, because of COVID. They are being let down horrendously. I believe we need to do more to stand up and say this situation is unacceptable. Disputes happen. The grown ups should sort it out and do the right thing by these students now #standwithstudents
@Dad72Swim Really surprised by these comments as we cannot look at the times these young swimmers are achieving today against what our swimmers swam in 2019 Also I know my swimmer competed in events where he was much lower in the rankings as well as his best events
💬 "On behalf of the many people aged 18 and over who are part of our fantastic swimming, water polo, diving or artistic swimming clubs, I would implore you to look again at the decision to ban indoor aquatic sport in tier 3"

Incredibly disappointing news from @BorisJohnson and the government as it is announced that pubs and theme parks are allowed to reopen from 4th July but pools still remain shut. Hopefully the government will reconsider. #openourpools https://t.co/qpcOz3Sf3X
Look at this, then show me the “heat-map” of the political vote-wining venues that opened up already: McDonalds, Ikea, pub gardens, cinemas, kids in schools that have opened, parks, beaches. Even in a 25m pool this works fine. Yes sensible rules should apply. OPEN THE POOLS!
This is crazy... Places of arguably greater risk opening before swimming pools and gyms! Physical fitness and mental wellbeing can be done safely in pools with @Swim_England working hard to provide support so that venues are ready to go. #OpenOurPools
"By ignoring the swimming sector in the latest easing of lockdown, the Government has let down millions who rely on being in the water"
Swim England CEO @JMNSwimmer expresses her ‘dismay and frustration’ at the continued failure from @GOVUK and @10DowningStreet ⬇️ #OpenOurPools
Mad how we can go shops and have Karen cough on me and yet no Leisure Centres/Athletic Tracks are publicly open yet 🧐 Sport is so important to peoples wellbeing and most importantly mental health! If pubs open soon then so should everywhere else?
