What’s something you only understand about running a business once you’ve actually done it?
Not advice you read in a book.
Something you had to learn the hard way.
Most of the time, you don’t need more information.
You need feedback from the decision you haven’t made yet.
Make the call.
See what happens.
Then adjust with real information instead of another 3 hours of research.
So this weekend it’s back to the numbers.
Look at what’s working.
Cut what isn’t.
Change the messaging.
Then go again Monday.
No point getting attached to an outreach strategy that isn’t producing results.
Testimonials shouldn’t just tell people your customers are happy.
They should show what you’re capable of doing for them.
Don’t just collect compliments.
Collect evidence.
Most businesses have testimonials.
Very few have good proof.
“Great service.”
“Highly recommend.”
“Really happy with the result.”
Nice compliments.
But they don’t tell a potential customer why they should choose you. 🧵
The problem often isn’t the client.
It’s the question we ask:
“Can you leave us a testimonial?”
Instead, ask:
“What problem were you trying to solve, why did you choose us, and what’s changed since?”
You’ll get a completely different answer.
