What an honor having @mtlawton at @Dukeneurosurg as this year’s Allan H. Friedman Lecturer. 🙌 We loved your talk.
Feeling grateful for the chance to learn from giants in the field—visiting leaders like Dr. Lawton and mentors right here at home, Dr. Friedman and Dr. Gerry Grant.
Tomorrow the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology will host “The Things We’ll Never Know: A Science Fair of Canceled Grants”. Scientists will be sharing their story and discuss their now-canceled research grants. This event is open to the public and to the press.
Curious how to translate your research into compelling social media content? Please join us for our upcoming event, "#ShareYourScience: How to Talk Research on Social Media" with Dr. Samantha Spellicy and Dr. Faith Robertson, next Thursday, June 26th at 7 PM CT!
Have I been listening to the Spice Girls more in the OR lately?
-Yes.
Is anyone mad about it?
-Absolutely not haha.

Congrats to our wonderful chief Josh who is getting married tomorrow!
Also thanks Kennedy and Tara for the donuts. This is the happiest I've see. Drew in 3 years.
3 separate attendings bought me lunch last week, the OR nurses saved me cake and cookies after a case, and we had leftover cold pizza in the workroom for breakfast this morning.
Feeling like a perpetual grad student but not even made about it 😂.
Sometimes little things like this make a world of difference; just grateful to be surrounded by all this support.
