#CPR saves lives. Looking out window, guy collapses. Run to see if I can help, no signs of life, start CPR. He left in ambulance, sitting up and talking. I’ve only practiced on a doll before, today it made a difference. Everyone should know how to #savealife
People who see the culture change & reform that’s needed in organisations & systems get a hard time; they are often seen as awkward, unmanageable, dangerous, troublemakers. It’s the opposite. The really dangerous people are those who bolster status quo. Time for a rebel alliance!
@StNHeather So happy to have had the opportunity to meet you and thank you for your amazing contributions to make #RCN24 what it was!
So looking forward to seeing how you progress in your nursing journey 💕
@Andi_RNC@theRCN My trust covers multiple regions, let alone branches. It doesn’t have anywhere to really feed into.
The important thing is engagement with members. That needs more opportunities without the structural barriers
Student nurses about to register are critical to ensuring waiting lists come down and patients get the care that they need
Roles for our newly qualified nurses should never be in scope for cost improvement programmes when we know patients are dying waiting for care. #RCN24
Political influencing- promoting the nursing agenda in the election year!
Use your influence at the ballot box! Demand your MP to take action on @theRCN manifesto to earn your vote!

'Multiple reviews highlight time and time again that harm would have been prevented if concerns that had been raised had been listened to and acted on,' @SamSpence01 told #RCN24.

Fantastic debate at #RCN24. anyone that states that #nurses don’t want to be involved in #digital developments needs to watch this and realise this NEEDs to be developed with them
@LouHyettC@RCNStudents@RCNActivism Such a great debate and wonderful contributions from student members too!
The future is bright but only if we protect people within 💕
So @RCN24 is up and running, great to be back as a voting member and getting such an important debate to the floor
Nursing staff need more support to raise concerns and it was great to see so many people share there views!
An issue very close to my heart! @SamSpence01 expertly reminding us of the amount of concerns we face daily and the difficulties HCPs face speaking up. Culture change is needed! #rcn24@RCNStudents@RCNActivism
Still time to apply, I never expected to be on the agenda committee but I’m so fortunate someone suggested I go for it. You really see the best of the @theRCN membership and it’s shaped my nursing journey in ways I never imagined! What have you got to loose?
Did you know there is a vacant position on our Agenda Committee for RCN Congress?
Samantha Spence reflects on her experience of being on the committee and encourages members to apply before nominations close on 12 February:
