As part of the road to becoming a sport psychologist, dissemination is key.
It’s one thing to promote yourself, get contracts and join established companies. But, I believe that it’s vital to work to promote the industry and inspire the next generation - one small step at a time.
Delighted to announce I’m now working as part of the Loughborough Applied Practice Service (LAPS) as one of the consultants within Loughborough University and Loughborough Sport.
Another step in my journey as a Sport and Exercise Psychologist (in Training).
You matter, your experience matters.
Too often people believe that their problem’s aren’t big enough to seek support; too often people believe that it’s a sign of weakness to seek support; too often people believe that there are no easily accessible avenues for support.

With @andysmanclubuk, those beliefs can be tossed aside. It's is a group of men, that meet on Mondays at 7pm, to talk. No need to sign forms, to share personal information AND, if you don’t wish, you don’t even have to talk. You can sit there and have a "brew and biscuit".

Giving the players the chance to choose their own collective identity can help motivate them further towards pursuing the best for the team because they begin to relate more to the club…as their club ⚽️

Another successful workshop ✅
Working with the Loughborough University Men’s Football Development Squad was a great opportunity to uncover their values and individual/team identity!
Too often teammates are afraid to talk about what matters to them, how they see their role, and they view their club. Conversations such as these can increase the openness and understanding between teammates 🤝🏼
It was great to get the chance to give a talk to the University of Sheffield Rugby Club to help them prepare for their Varsity games this year 🏉
