@DanThurot I had the exact same experience. Really wanted to like the first, had to give up. Apparently the 2nd launched just as hard, but they updated with an option to lower the survival difficulty and it’s a masterpiece. Highly suggest you give this one a shot.

@DanThurot Pathologic 2 is one of the most fascinating games I have ever played. Cannot recommend it more. For anyone interested in unique methods of storytelling it is a must. I highly suggest playing the reduced survival difficulty. Ooh I hope you play it, it is so underrated.
