What followed was the most honest eight minutes of post-election television you’ll see all year — a full autopsy read out loud by a host whose network spent two years promising you a red wave.

The receipts, as he listed them:

- Democrats flipped 7 Senate seats. 29 House seats. And counting.

- Voters under 30 went 70% Democrat — a 32-point swing

- Hispanics moved 28 points left

- Men moved 17 points. Democrats won men.

- Democrats pulled 48% of the white vote. Best showing since 1964.

- First Democratic senator out of Texas since 1988. First Latina governor of Texas.

- Mississippi is in play. Mississippi.

Then the line that should be laminated and bolted to every RNC desk:

“If Texas stays blue, a Republican will never sniff the White House ever again.”

He’s not being dramatic. He’s doing arithmetic. Texas was 87% white in 1970. It’s 37% now. Surrender Texas, California, and New York and the Electoral College becomes a formality.

Zoom out, and it’s far worse: the biggest House popular vote margin for any party since 1974. More than 250 seats — a majority larger than any Republican majority since the Great Depression. Ted Cruz’s word for it was “repudiation.” His other word was “tsunami.”

Two years of unified power produced exactly one bill. The base stayed home. The president is now calling himself “Mr. Veto” while ribbon-cutting fountains in Washington.

Valleys make mountains. Fine. But the mountain just slid to the other side of the map.

🚨 DAMAGE REPORT: Democrats are at 253 House seats to 155 for Republicans, with 27 races still uncalled.

The Senate is 54 to 44, and Alaska and Mississippi are still being counted.

If both go blue, it's 56.

That's what John Thune and Mike Johnson's Congress gets for two years of stalling on DOGE cuts, the border and everything else voters sent them to do.

They still run Congress until January. Every day of this lame duck should be spent confirming nominees and locking in wins.
