Arsenal have set the record for the lowest possession percentage for a team playing in a Champions League final (since records began in 2003-04).
The previous lowest record was also Arsenal, set in the 2006 Champions League final, which they played 72 minutes with 10 men.
@Brana2010@Scfc_joee It’s not banter. It’s a Wales away game and a fan got punched for asking to turn it off. That’s why so many are rattled. Naive for people to think it’s only Cardiff fans, but you also can’t just dismiss this behaviour unfortunately🤷♂️
@sonictheswans 5th highest created chances in the entire league, to me at least, doesn’t spell possession just for the sake of it. We no doubt need to improve & I agree we struggle under a press but he’s been here a year and I like the signs. Squad is also paper thin so limited options for subs
I honestly believe that some of our fans get off on wanting to see us crash and burn. These ‘ITK’ accounts are becoming a huge problem in our fan base. Half of them would have you believing he was already taking WBA training sessions😭😭 time to mute some accounts I think😂 🦢
@sonictheswans Opinions mate and I see the LW point. I’d struggle to see the argument that we have played any better football in the championship tho, considering the mess the squad is in also. Not perfect, but a step towards a better style than what we’ve been getting the last few years imo.
@scmw12@sonictheswans I didn’t say he deserved a new contract? Nor that he handled it well😂 I’m saying that’s the job of an agent. Convince ur client that they’ve your best interest at heart. Do what it takes so both benefit financially. Either scenario means a lovely January bonus for the agent😂
@sonictheswans LW has taken the advice and regretted it, maybe because they weren’t interested sure. But personally for me, I’ve been a STH for 20 years and this is the best football I’ve seen in a long time. I like LW as a man and am willing to give benefit of the doubt, for now at least!
@sonictheswans Agents work mainly on commission, at this level he probably doesn’t have a tonne of high profile clients. It’s very possible (albeit your opinion is just as likely) that he has convinced LW not to rule out the links, citing either a move with a payrise or a bumper new contract…
@sonictheswans Defo no smoke w/out fire, IMO he’s taken some bad advice from his agent and should be held accountable. Really my point is that some people need to reassess how they approach stuff like this. It’s possible some people had bad sources, but some are just looking for attention😂
@sonictheswans He quite literally said last season that Rushworth was going to be staying another year. He’s got previous for saying the wrong thing. You can choose to ignore that if you want, but I’d prefer to be slightly more balanced and wait for the actual facts before writing off a manager
@sonictheswans My point is that our fanbase has gone in to meltdown (again) over some half soaked links from some want-to-be journos who IMO are happy to watch the club burn because it helps them get likes. Peoples opinions on LW have nothing to do with my tweet, I just don’t like the fake ITKs
@sonictheswans I’m hearing the word naive getting thrown at fans who want to believe he’s telling the truth, my opinion is that he’s a poor media handler, said the wrong thing after taking advice from his agent and has since regretted it massively. I don’t really care rn how true it is (1/2)
@niallswans True, I just hate the obsession forming within the fanbase of being the first to break news when clueless. IMO it does nothing other than cause chaos😂last week he was the best man on planet earth, now he’s Judas, if we beat WBA and he claps the fans he’s the 🐐 again😂
