Following the 9/11 attacks I left the Mission Mountains of Montana and went into Leesburg Virginia recruiters offices. On this day 24 years ago I officially joined the US Army.
Beware the Ides of March. Thank you to all my fellow Post 9/11 Brothers and Sisters that joined to advance freedom and protect America.

Eight incumbent Montana legislators lost their primary elections Tuesday.
Two senators and six representatives will not return to Helena in January.
That’s a major shake up. Incumbents are not defeated easily in Montana.
Six of the losses were among more moderate Republicans targeted by the more conservative state GOP party, and two were members of the state’s Freedom Caucus, including a longtime legislative leader.
Like I said it was a mixed bag on the numbers:
“Flathead Republicans split almost 50/50 on party-backed candidates. Sheriff Brian Heino won with 89% despite being snubbed by the county GOP.
Rep. Courtenay Sprunger held her seat with 65% despite facing party headwinds.
But Reps. Lyn Bennett and Linda Reksten both fell to party-endorsed challengers.”

Good morning Montana!
Anybody else drowning in Cease and Desist Demands, threats of litigation and investigations… If not are you really fighting for this country?
What an ugly brutal primary.
At least our digital and mailboxes are clean for a while. That and rain helps.
Montana Voter Turnout was LOW.
In exit polling enthusiasm was down.
As of today we sit at 37% of all Montana Voters with 97% of all votes counted. Hill county and a few places left to get ballots to 100%.
That is 296,666 voters this primary out of 791,151 Montana Voters.
It’s a mid term non Presidential and there are tremendous frustrations out there. Economic pressures.
@tammifisher@Freedom01776 Tammi thanks. Either way it’s clear both sides overreacted here. Vigorous primaries are essential to strong candidates and accountability.
Flathead Sheriff Brian Heino cruises to reelection… which may both reveal the Flathead County Republican Central Committee was out of touch for endorsing Heino's opponent and that Sheriff Heino’s supporters overreacted to that endorsement.
Central committee endorsements seem to be very limited on impact in Montana. They are a double edge sword. That said, competitive primaries are good for both judges and sheriffs just as they are for ALL public offices.
Trump endorsed candidates have dominated primary season. That’s a fact. He was batting near 100%.
That said, the fact that a full legit MAHA, anti big ag candidate won against a Trump endorsed big ag endorsed candidate in Iowa last night is noteworthy. Trump endorsed candidate loses last night in Iowa Governor race as Zach Lahn wins.
@ZachLahn
Trevor Walter pulled off a major upset. He is a man I would consider a prayerful and faith focused leader.
He has worked with our Montana Veterans on highlighting deficiencies at the Montana VA and supporting Gold Star and Military families.
He will be a great legislator in Helena.
Proud of this win.
@TrevorWalter406
We won big with Kim Dailey in the Bitterroot in HD 85. She was falsely accused of promoting pay cuts for Military and Veterans Pensions.
She does not support ANY cuts to Veterans benefits. In fact Kim had 5 major policy proposals for the Montana Legislature I strongly support to help Montana Veterans and her husband is a retired and disabled Military Officer. We won bigly. 🇺🇸🦅
Good morning Montana!
What a great night. I am a bit in cloud 9 because 12 out of 14 Montana Veterans Association (MVA) board, staff or volunteers won their Montana races last night.
A whopping 15 out of 17 candidates we door knocked or called for won victory last night. 88% win rate.
Great night for our teams!
I find it interesting that a few counties in Montana are having problems with ballots. For example reports out of Hill County have ballot ink being too light for the ballot counting machines to pick up. Many Hill County precincts have no votes counted yet.
We on Go!
Our young Maverick Finley Ward has won a great political victory in Polson Montana. It’s official.
65% to 35% over a powerful incumbent. We door knocked and called hard with our teams and he made it easy as he was one of the hardest working candidates I have worked with.
He will be the youngest member of the state legislature should he advance in November.
Next Gen leadership is important.
@FinleyWarden
Sam Forstag wins a nail biter for the Dems in Montana Congressional District 1. He will face Aaron Flint.
Ryan Busse has officially conceded.
AOC and Bernie got their primary victory in Montana.
