@LadyPelvic If you ever want to study the basics alongside someone, I’ve been meaning to get back to it, and it would be fun to send worksheets back and forth. The book I used is the 3rd edition Genki textbook: there’s also a workbook for exercises and a teachers one with the answers.

@LadyPelvic That’s still awesome! I used the Genki books when I took Japanese in college two years ago: you should check them out! They explain a ton and are really good for learning sentence structure. :)

@whatisjoedoing Spider-Man: Life Story is a great standalone story that’s retelling Spider-Man as if his life happened chronologically from the 1960s onward. It’s really really solid, and is a great one to have on the shelf that doesn’t require you being up to date on anything recent.
