It's still campy as hell, but it brought a LOT of polish to the table in terms of production quality which just wasn't there in the original MK movie. Please support this in theaters and on HBO Max / Go so they make the MK2 that they've set up!

The changes they made to the MK story made sense for the big screen, and the new dude they added was actually alright. The fights were awesome, the fatalities were awesome, Kano was actually funny in a non-cringe way, and every character was spot on from the games.
