This is my favorite account on any platform. Capt. Chris Hill is an amazing leader. And he’s giving us a ringside seat as he relentlessly pursues culture change in one of the toughest, highest-stakes environments imaginable. #warriorsoldier
Leaders need to be into the morale building business. It’s not as much about time off and cookies, although they’re super helpful. It’s about making people feel valued & part of something greater than themselves. Leaders literally control this power. And it produces results.
@lorensevillaw Thanks! City haven’t dominated Champions League quite enough to win my vote, but that’s splitting hairs. Pep understands player leadership dynamics better than any other living manager. The proof is in his captains:

"Mi ego exige -para mí mismo- el éxito de mí equipo", decía Bill Russell en una frase que recogió @SamWalkers en su libro Capitanes (The Captain Class). Con 11 anillos en 13 temporadas, habrá estado en paz con su ego. Y el libro sobre la fuerza oculta de los capitanes promete.
I spoke with @MrogersFOX about #USMNT captain Tyler Adams & the hard work Gregg Berhalter did behind the scenes building this team’s selfless, fearless culture. Proud of the boys & thankful to Gregg for letting me tag along. Future is bright! 🇺🇸⚽️🏆 https://t.co/W7xL3RXPz8
Are you a water-carrier? Or a star player? Which is more influential? @SamWalkers‘s book will help you understand which you are and, perhaps, help you decide which you should be.
It also explains a load of the Army Leadership Code...

Here's to Bill Russell, a leadership icon who was misunderstood & underappreciated in his time and remains so today. He was, and still is, the greatest team captain in the history of sports.
In the late seconds of Game 7 of the '57 NBA Finals, Bill Russell made the single greatest defensive play in league history, if not sports history. It's known as the Coleman Play. https://t.co/3kSVULftNq
Sadly, the footage was taped over. But here's a video of a similar play:
In 1975, Bill Russell declined to attend his own Hall of Fame induction ceremony. The mystery of WHY would linger for the next 41 years.
I wrote about the answer in "The Captain Class" (see below). This is one of the greatest leadership lessons I have ever encountered.
I’ll always remember Bill Russell as the greatest team captain of all time. That goes for any sport, any era, any nation on Earth. Imagine winning 11 championships in 13 seasons… and going 10-0 in playoff Game 7’s… and, and, and… https://t.co/o8xbxinSVR
