#sensationalWIP D17 (Such a hard one 😮)
His room is in perfect order, just as he likes it. No one knocks on his door too early in the morning. He`s not expected to talk, to open up. He doesn`t need to account for anyone when making decisions. He`s free. He doesn`t want to be.
Some time later:
Me: Okay. That character does deserve his own novel. I`ll work on it for NaNoWriMo! And now, I`m going to sit down and make something resembling an outline.
Brain: On second thought, you really need to work on the main WIP in that setting. Here are 20 new ideas!
#amwriting
Me: Okay, I`m going to work on this superhero/cyberpunk WIP right now! Chapter 5, here I come.
Brain: See that side character? He deserves a whole novel of his own. Sit there and think about it for three hours instead of writing that chapter.
@09tiff86 Yes, exactly. I`m so grateful to people who just start talking to me about anything OTHER than my anxiety & its causes when I`m in that state. When it gets bad, I need to get /out/ of my head, not dig myself further /in/.
#IHaveAnxiety
When I`m having an anxiety attack I hate being asked things like, "What exactly is making you anxious?" Because I don`t know. Everything is. If I start thinking about what bothers me the most, it will all get worse.
It`s anxiety that makes me anxious, and that`s it.
@CinderfulCircus Basically all the lyrics to We Have It All by Pim Stones, but especially:
"All my life I've been heading for hell
But never had I thought I'd drag you down as well
I just couldn't resist what he was trying to sell"
@CinderfulCircus As far as I know the most common term was menses, and also 'those', especially in polite society. Not 'those days', just 'those.'
And also 'courses', but that was mostly used by common folk at that time.
@SoupGargoyle I`m very much the same. For me, it helps to alternate between several writing projects at a time. It prevents me from trying to pour all my ideas into a single one to the point it changes beyond recognition and becomes TOO MUCH.
But I still struggle to actually finish things.🙄
#sensationalWIP D16
That`s... actually pretty much what`s happening in the chapter I`m currently writing 🙄😅
To put it short, the antagonist is obsessively fixated on a bat corpse because he desperately needs an alibi, and I swear it makes perfect sense in context. 😂
#sensationalWIP D15 (catch-up)
Adiar`s very attentive to his surroundings. In the castle or in the city, he looks at the way people behave and keeps an ear open for gossip. In the forest, he pays attention to animals, sounds, smells. Anywhere, he checks the magic currents.
@sensationalWIP I love them! ❤️And I love trying to guess what the question is going to be about based on the piece of quote (so far, I`ve only been vaguely right once😅). Your questions are very thought-provoking, and some are kinda scary to think about which is so fitting for October. 👻😄
Tfw when you notice a speck of blood on your hand and you keep wondering where it came from. The possibilities are endless.
Okay, no. There are only 3 possibilities I can think of, but my body is crazy creative when it comes to self-destruction, so they may indeed be endless.😕
@ellle_em Not just American. We have plenty of those in Russia, too. And I remember seeing some medication ads in newspapers and on billboards when I visited my relatives in Ukraine.
@RoAnnaSylver All the good thoughts to your family. I`m sorry this is happening, and I really, really hope for the best, least scariest biopsy results possible.
Finally decided what I`m going to write for #NaNoWriMo2018. Maybe writing a side-story for a yet unfinished WIP is weird, but that side character really needs his own novel and I need something to write in November without straying too far from all of my WIPs at once. 😅
I hate asking for help with things I should be able to do on my own, but I guess I really need to ask someone to regularly remind me to eat something. Someone who`s a lot harder to ignore all day than a reminder on my phone. 🙄
@syd_mkennedy Same. I`d be okay if they were sequels that assumed that all the events of those old shows I used to be emotionally invested in still happened, the stories of those characters left an impact, and now here`s what happens after 10+ years. But remakes are really tiresome.
