Ian Garry turned comments off on his latest Instagram post due to "racist comments" towards Jewish people:
"People have the audacity to link my frustration to then segregate and start mentioning horrendous comments towards Jewish people.
I thought we learned a long time ago, around the 1940s, that segregation was wrong, especially towards the Jewish community.
A way for me to control that - I'm turning the comments off. Nobody is ever coming to my page and spreading that vulgar energy... I need to protect the peace."

Sure, let's alienate the mayor. He should only hang out with antisemite s. Why even try to keep an open door in the city with the largest Jewish population outside of Israel, someone had to do it. We tried voting for someone else, but it didn't work. Now its the only option left.
People need to realize that just because a Jewish person met with Mamdani does not mean they support his anti Israel views. Even Trump met with him.
There’s outrage online over Hassidic rabbis meeting with Mamdani, but people are missing the bigger picture. Millions of Jews live in New York City, and maintaining a working relationship with the mayor matters for the safety and well being of the Jewish community.
Too many people online are reacting emotionally instead of thinking strategically and seeing the full picture.
