Northwest Missouri State University's Sam Wornson has been named the Ban Johnson Baseball League Kevin McIntosh Family Player of the Week.
Wornson drove in eight runs, hit two homers and went 6-for-15 for his Regal Plastic squad in the Ban Johnson Baseball League. Wornson went 6-for-15 at the plate this past week.
Wornson (Smithville, Mo./Smithville HS) enjoyed a terrific junior season for the Bearcats, hitting .354 in 27 games played. Wornson tallied 28 RBI, scored 19 runs and hammered five homers as the Bearcats reached the NCAA postseason for the first time since the 2003 season.

MVP for the 18U this weekend was 2023 NW MO State commit, Sam Wornson (@SamWornson). He played incredible defense in the OF and was unstoppable at the plate (with wood by the way). Hit .818!!!
