Genuinely think this should have been conveyed earlier. Despite everything that happened since, THIS did actually happen and people would have liked to have said thank you.
That’s our captain, talking on behalf of all the lads in the dressing room.
Anyone dismissing the lived experience of what these lads went through so you can score some cheap points to hounding the manager out…
You should hang your fucking heads in shame

Despite real and late reservations in some quarters, FSG will place trust in Liverpool’s day-to-day operations staff, backing Arne Slot for next season. Results are expected to improve, with early work underway to strengthen both staff and squad.
Hearing first hand from Andy Robertson this week about the harrowing impact of Diogo Jota's death behind the scenes at Liverpool has made me re-evaluate a desperately poor season. Have we been too critical?

Mad how some ‘Liverpool’ fans can’t comprehend how one of our best ever footballers who was handsomely rewarded (rightfully so) for winning us the title shouldn’t speak out against the club in his last week with us. It’s not what you should do, no matter who you are.
As much as he’s right in what he says, a bit of self awareness in how much his own on-pitch level has dropped this season would’ve given his statement some balance at least.
Apparently you hate Salah if you think this. I think this AND still love Salah for what he’s done for the club. Isn’t that mind bending?
I repeat, no one is bigger than the club. It’s more easy than ever to see who supports LFC and who supports Salah FC.
Hope he gets the best send off possible on Sunday. After that we can all prepare for life post Mo.
There is now serious consideration being given to changing the head coach at Liverpool. It would require an admission higher up that things are beyond repair, but the question is at least now posed, it would also mean a reshuffle above the head coach at the director level.
I have witnessed this club go from doubters to believers, and from believers to champions. It took hard work and I always did everything I could to help the club get there. Nothing makes me prouder than that.
Us crumbling to yet another defeat this season was very painful and not what our fans deserve. I want to see Liverpool go back to being the heavy metal attacking team that opponents fear and back to being a team that wins trophies. That is the football I know how to play and that is the identity that needs to be recovered and kept for good. It cannot be negotiable and everyone that joins this club should adapt to it.
Winning some games here and there is not what Liverpool should be about. All teams win games.
Liverpool will always be a club that means a great deal to me and to my family. I want to see it succeed for long after I have moved on.
As I’ve always said, qualifying to next season’s Champions League is the bare minimum and I will do everything I can to make that happen.
All change on multi-year ticket policy. Following talks with the club, we’re pleased there is an improved outcome for all supporters. We want to thank the club for engaging and thank all those who supported action on this - fans voices are paramount

Just to play on this hypothetical, I'd like to know answers to the following.
Does a new manager at any point of the season:
• Make Isak match fit the entire season after he sat out the whole summer?
• Stop Leoni blowing his knee out in his first game?
• Suddenly give Salah two yards more pace and not see his offensive contributions drop by near 50%?
• Stop the freak goals that have been conceded off of deflections, 30 yard screamers, etc?
• Stop an Iron Man in Frimpong having multiple hamstring injuries?
• Stop Bradley blowing his knee out trying to clear the ball?
• Stop Isak breaking his leg scoring a goal?
• Stops Ekitike blowing his Achillies?
• Stops the need for a transition period for those coming from another team/league?
These are just a few of the instances that Slot has had to deal with this season, and, to be honest, not Klopp nor Alonso being in charge changes 90% of this.
Would there be some variation? Absolutely. Is Slot infallible? Not even close. Should questions be asked? Absolutely.
But let's not look at this season through a prism of bias and use all of the context available, otherwise, you're being agenda driven 🤷♂️ #LFC

I think this is an excellent piece from Jonathan Liew, and it eloquently describes what I have been pondering for the past few weeks.
