People are fed up with being told what to do and think, having lived through the recent pandemic fiasco. Open debate, instead of name calling could have got it over the line.

@supermario200 @daveknox1 @TracyWesterman This is not an election. You can’t propose, or vote on, an alternate proposal. That’s why it was important for the only proposal to be strong. It wasn’t. Too vague, in an era of low government trust. A supposed ‘transparent’ government that won’t even front a senate enquiry.

@CollingwoodFC Genuine question. Do organisations consult all members + employees before making a broad statement on behalf of them? Would love these statements to include something like “we support the democratic process and the right of individuals in our organisation to vote as they see fit”

To give people an idea of what voting Yes would mean in practical terms. The blank cheque angle clearly hasn’t worked with political trust so low.

@graemeBobbyboy @PRGuy17 I agree when it comes to voting. Has to be accountability when it comes to promises made in the lead up to any election. Go back and see what was promised before the last national and Vic state elections. Same rules should apply there.
