@RugbyTimes If Bath win and Exeter get a bonus-point win, then it will be Bath vs Exeter in the semi-final.
Tigers could end up at Welford Road, The Rec or Franklin’s Gardens for their semi-final.
Yesterday hurt a lot but seeing a trophy parade for the Premier League will live with me for a long time.
Shoutout to the Arsenal women’s too for the Champions Cup trophy and enjoying the vibe on the busses behind.
North London Forever ❤️
@BathBytes Been of my phone due to sad Arsenal result but I saw it was 35-10 what actually happened to sale, how have they lost let alone concede 45 points to Newcastle.
@ryannorth92@ell2626252 Yeah I do with agree with that, so much success last season with plan ABC that we haven’t found plan DEF and adapted.
This team can still do it but they need a big change in intensity and accuracy otherwise it’s gonna be tough.
But Never too high never too low 💙
The loss of Lee Blackett for Bath has hurt not only their attacking shape but also their key skills and accuracy with ball in hand.
There weren’t many times last season Bath didn’t score tries once in the 22, this year their strike rate has fallen off.
@ryannorth92@ell2626252 It’s more down to skills and trust.
Last season everything went well and even when it didn’t there was a trust we could turn things around.
In the rough patch Bath are in there is less freedom and trust in themselves.
They are both physically and emotionally drained.
All is not lost though, as much as the past month has gone badly for Bath, they are in the playoffs and three wins away from going back to back.
Regroup refresh and find accuracy and there is no reason why they can’t win the Prem again.
@dvernalls@BathBytes@HistorySmm@mitukshooter@mattprice1978 The best Bath have played was actually for the last few months was the away game at Saints.
Attack not fired all season unless the game is comfortable.
Edinburgh, Saracens (Prem), Newcastle are all matches when once the game has been won, Bath decide to rip it up with accuracy.
@mattprice1978 No control second half, let Bristol and Dickson run the game.
Attack lacked sharpness after 1st phase again while they got on the wrong side of the ref again.
Lineout was better but they seemed to have lost trust in it as they went for the tap and go’s multiple times.
FULLTIME
BRISTOL 21-19 BATH
Bath scoreless in the second-half
No control in that 2nd half from Bath.
Missed two big opportunities for the bonus-point and the win.
Did Karl Dickson blow his whistle before the Bears third try though?
HALFTIME
BRISTOL 7-19 BATH
Bath have controlled the game here and could be further ahead.
Attack playing with more intent.
Bristol have dropped the ball more often than not when it looked like they were finding thier grove.
40 to go but it’s a 12 point lead for Bath.
Team News is out vs Bears
🔵 Obano, Kepu and TDT in the front-row
⚫️ Sam Underhill at eight
⚪️ Ciaran Donoghue starts at fly-half
Big calls for the Derby.
Team sheet that was pre planned or are they thinking on their feet ?
Anyway it’s a big one to keep pace for 2nd
😇 BREAKING: Alex Mitchell has been ruled out for the rest of the season after injuring his hamstring during England camp…
Big blow for the league leaders.
Silver lining is that Archie McParland has been in sensational form this season, big month coming for the 21-year-old…
@BathBytes@BathRugby I enjoyed how they celebrated it but spoke about how there was a bigger prize on the horizon to be won.
I think being in a competitive but winnable competition helped so much in the success of last season.
Ciarán Frawley has been sensational for Leinster in the 2nd half just a shame he came onto the pitch when the Final was all but over.
UBB class in the first, did what they needed to do in the 2nd despite some needless foul play.
