विधान परिषद निवडणुकीत तब्बल आठ ठिकाणी उमेदवारी मागे घेऊन भाजपचा बिनविरोध विजय होईल याची काळजी महाविकास आघाडीने घेतली.

नेहमीप्रमाणे भाजपची खरी "ए टीम" म्हणून महाविकास आघाडी काम करत असते, हे प्रत्येक निवडणुकीतून सिद्ध होत आहे.

सर्वोच्च न्यायालयाच्या ADR v ECI प्रकरणाच्या निर्णयामध्ये पॅराग्राफ 171 मध्ये सर्वोच्च न्यायालयाने म्हटले आहे की, निवडणूक आयोगाला नागरिकत्व ठरवण्याचा अधिकार नाही. हे सर्वोच्च न्यायालयाचे मत आहे.

निवडणूक आयोगाला नागरिकत्व देण्याचा अधिकार नाहीये तर प्रश्न असा उपस्थित राहतो की, नागरिकत्वाचा नावाखाली निवडणूक आयोगाने 90 लाख मतं आसाम, प. बंगाल, बिहार आणि तामिळनाडूमध्ये मतं गहाळ केली. तेव्हा भारतीय राज्यघटने प्रमाणे मुक्त आणि प्रामाणिकपणे या निवडणुका घेतल्या का? हा प्रश्न निर्माण होतो.

काँग्रेस, तृणमूल काँग्रेस, डावे पक्ष, डीएमके, राजद या पक्षांनी सर्वोच्च न्यायालयात या निवडणुका रद्द करण्याची याचिका का दाखल केली नाही?

माझा त्यांना सल्ला आहे की, त्यांनी या निवडणुका रद्द करण्याची याचिका दाखल करावी.

कल्याण, वालधुनी येथील बुद्धभूमी येथे अतिक्रमणाच्या नावाखाली सरकार, प्रशासनाकडून त्या परिसरात असलेल्या बौद्ध धम्मातील प्रतिकांची, स्मारकाची विटंबना आणि अनेक झाडांची कत्तल करण्यात आली. याला विरोध करणाऱ्या भन्तेजींसोबत अरेरावी करण्यात आल्याचे समजले.

He dedicated Gulamgiri to the American movement to free slaves, he linked the conditions of the black slaves in USA with those of the lower castes in India. #MahatmaPhule has himself hinted at the significance of #Gulamgiri in the introduction: “… it is very essential for human beings to be free. When man is free, he can clearly convey his thoughts to people through writing or speech..."

I strongly condemn the death threats issued against Abhijeet. Free expression and personal safety are cornerstones of a healthy democracy; censorship and death threats fundamentally undermine the principles of open discourse and democratic debate.

I assured Abhijeet’s parents that @VBAforIndia stands with them in this environment of threat. Our team will provide political and ground protection, if needed.

Reservations policy is NOT an economic alleviation policy but is a constitutional remedy against historical caste exclusion, lack of representation and caste discrimination!

The Manusmriti denied equal social and political rights to Shudras and Ati-Shudras. The founding fathers of India corrected this historical wrong and centuries of exclusion by giving proportional representation to SCs and STs in public services and educational institutions, and later to OBCs in educational institutions.

Methodically, both Executive and Judicial coercion is being used to ambush the faithful intent of affirmative action in the form of reservation and the reality of caste discrimination, and convert it into a poverty alleviation scheme!

Upward mobility does not erase the caste identity of an individual!

If the upward economic mobility of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes has indeed dismantled caste-based discrimination against them, how does would one explain the reproduction of caste discrimination, continued prejudices and abuse against high-ranking SC and ST officers in bureaucracy and civil services, academicians, and political leaders!?

Did upward economic mobility spare the former CJI from enduring casteist abuse, the shoe-hurling incident and everyday casteist comments online?

Did upward economic mobility IPS officer Y. Puran Kumar from caste-based harassment and discrimination within the police and bureaucratic system, which forced him to take his own life?

Is it not true that SC and ST civil servants receive weaker APAR/ACR evaluations, fewer plum postings, and slower promotions due to informal caste networks and favouritism in bureaucracy?

How does one explain the housing discrimination against SC and ST professionals in metropolitan cities or why IIT/IIM students from the reserved category mocked over reservation and assumed to be incompetent? Or, how the curse of caste and caste discrimination is rampant in the Indian diaspora?

Who has given the right to the Executive and Judiciary to dismantle and redefine caste-based reservation policy?

Who has given the right to the Executive and Judiciary to convert a social justice and representation policy to a economic alleviation policy?

विधानसभा निवडणुकीपूर्वी 'लाडकी बहीण योजने'ला सुरुवात केली. त्यांना 1500 रुपये दिले पण, निवडणूक संपली आणि लाखो महिलांना त्या योजनेतून वगळले.

2.6 कोटी महिलांना लाभ मिळत होता. निवडणूक संपल्यावर केवायसी, ई केवायसी अशा प्रक्रिया करून हळूहळू महिलांना त्या लाडक्या बहीण योजनेतून सरकारने बाहेर काढले.

आज 1.76 कोटी महिलांना याचा लाभ मिळत आहे.

India has one of the world’s largest youth populations; around 27 percent of India’s population is aged 15-29 years, 1 in every 4 Indians.

Young people have historically been at the forefront of change in India. Despite making up a massive portion of the population, their engagement and participation in politics in recent years has been on a decline, with young people voicing less or holding very religious, radical views.

While it took only one bad comment from the CJI to rage up the liberal youth of this country, we have had a history of keeping mum on caste-based violence and atrocities,  displacement of entire villages and Adivasis from their land owing to developmental projects, and the use of rape as a political tool to silence women's movement and resistance.  None of 'these' garnered half as much 'traction' as the word 'cockroach’. The Cockroach Janta Party appears to be a large chunk of the urban middle class who realised suddenly that the system they watched fail others for years, can fail them too. 

A few weeks ago in Noida, thousands of workers demanding better wages and working conditions were greeted with a lathi charge and tear gas. Every protest by the mine workers in Bastar is treated as a Naxal activity and responded to with open firing and drone attacks. When the citizens of Thoothukudi protested against the Sterlite copper plant, the police fired at them, even going to the extent of using snippers, killing 13 people. When the Dalits of Maharashtra took to the streets to protest against the attack on their cultural symbol, the Bhima-Korgaon Vijay-Stambh, the police conducted a combing operation in the Dalit bastis across the state, while arresting and further oppressing the victims. This country has had a long history of activists being jailed, the working class being beaten up, minorities being targeted, and the backward communities being oppressed. Never have the upper caste urban liberals raised their voices for them, and we have doubts as to whether the CJP would actually address those.

I have been following the buzz growing around the #CockroachJantaParty online, and honestly, I believe it is a Gen Z liberal reinvention of the Anna Hazare movement. A liberal agenda repackaged for social media, which is uncomfortable confronting caste discrimination faced by Dalits, displacement of Adivasis from their lands and forests, death of manual scavengers, Brahminical hierarchy, or supporting the reservations policy. 

I request the @CJP_2029 to write on the popular liberal belief that reservations undermine merit or the notion that Bahujan political parties such as VBA, BSP, VCK are vote-cutters, or maybe how both the Congress and BJP are complicit in weaponising detention laws against India’s Dalits, Adivasis, and Muslims! Even more importantly, I would like to see how many of the supporters of the CJP support their views on these prominent issues affecting the lakhs of Bahujans and Vanchits.

We welcome any new political movement, especially by the youth, as we believe that the political power of this country has been consolidated only with a few families of certain so-called upper caste communities, and the rest of India only gets democracy in the mere token form of voting, and remains deprived of, or #Vanchit of actual political power that can transform the socio-political landscape of India and usher in a new reality.

We would like to engage with you further, but would like to understand your stand on these issues —
1. Reservation Policy, particularly the debate around meritocracy vs reservation policy
2. Displacement of Adivasis from their lands
3. The prevalence of Manual Scavenging and the rights of Safai Karamcharis
4. The lack of representation of Dalit-Bahujan and LGQBTI+ voices
5. ⁠Notion that Bahujan political parties are vote-cutters
7. ⁠Complicity of both Congress and BJP in weaponising detention laws against Dalits, Adivasis and Muslims.

सुजात आंबेडकर यांच्याबद्दल आक्षेपार्ह वक्तव्य करणाऱ्या तुषार बोथराला अटक; जामखेडमध्ये 'वंचित'चे तीव्र आंदोलन

जामखेड : वंचित बहुजन आघाडीचे राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष प्रकाश तथा बाळासाहेब आंबेडकर यांचे चिरंजीव आणि पक्षाचे युवा नेते सुजात आंबेडकर यांच्याबद्दल फेसबुकवर अत्यंत आक्षेपार्ह व बदनामीकारक कमेंट करणाऱ्या तुषार बोथरा याला जामखेड पोलिसांनी तातडीने अटक केली आहे. या घटनेच्या निषेधार्थ वंचित बहुजन आघाडीच्या वतीने जामखेड पोलीस स्टेशनवर तीव्र निदर्शने व आंदोलन करण्यात आले होते.

दि. १९ मे रोजी जामखेड येथील रहिवासी तुषार बोथरा याने सोशल मीडियावर सुजात आंबेडकर यांच्याबाबत अत्यंत खालच्या पातळीवर जाऊन टिप्पणी केली होती. या आक्षेपार्ह कमेंटमुळे भारतरत्न डॉ. बाबासाहेब आंबेडकर यांच्या विचारांचा आणि वारशाचा घोर अपमान झाला असून, संपूर्ण आंबेडकरी जनतेच्या भावना तीव्रतेने दुखावल्या गेल्या. या वादग्रस्त वक्तव्यामुळे जामखेड शहर व परिसरात तीव्र संतापाची लाट उसळली होती व कायदा-सुव्यवस्थेचा प्रश्न निर्माण झाला होता.

घटनेचे गांभीर्य ओळखून वंचित बहुजन आघाडीचे राज्य प्रवक्ते ॲड. डॉ. अरुण जाधव यांच्या नेतृत्वाखाली कार्यकर्त्यांनी जामखेड पोलीस ठाण्यावर धडक दिली. प्रशासनाने आरोपीवर आयटी ॲक्ट व इतर कायदेशीर कलमांनुसार तात्काळ गुन्हा दाखल करून त्याला ताब्यात घ्यावे, अशी मागणी निवेदनाद्वारे करण्यात आली. त्वरित कारवाई न झाल्यास रस्त्यावर उतरून तीव्र आंदोलन छेडण्याचा इशारा 'वंचित'ने दिला होता. आंदोलनाची तीव्रता लक्षात घेता जामखेड पोलिसांनी तात्काळ पावले उचलत आरोपी तुषार बोथरा याला अटक केली.

या घटनेचा सर्व स्तरातून निषेध होत असून, वंचित बहुजन आघाडीच्या या आंदोलनाला राष्ट्रवादी काँग्रेस (शरद पवार गट), संभाजी ब्रिगेड, मुस्लिम पंच कमिटी, लोकशाहीर अण्णाभाऊ साठे युवा मंच आणि ओबीसी संघटनांनी जाहीर पाठिंबा दिला आहे.

नुकतंच 'भूमिका' नावाच्या नाटकाचा प्रयोग पाहिला. क्षितिज पटवर्धन लिखित, चंद्रकांत कुलकर्णी दिग्दर्शित, श्रीपाद पद्माकर निर्मित आणि सचिन खेडेकर यांनी अभिनय केलेलं हे नाटक.

संविधान, संविधानिक मूल्य, विविध विचार प्रवाहांचा पगडा असणाऱ्या व्यक्तीं सोबतचा (अगदी झेन जी पिढी सोबतचा) सजग परंतु, त्यांना न दुखवता विचार करायला लावणारा संवाद. डॉ. बाबासाहेब आंबेडकरांना जाती, धर्माच्या, प्रतिमा पूजनाच्या पलीकडे घेऊन जाऊन त्यांच्या माणूसपणाच्या व्यापक विचारांची मांडणी हे नाटक करते. आताच्या सर्वच सामाजिक, सांस्कृतिक, राजकीय गुंतागुंतीमुळे कार्यकर्त्यांमध्ये आलेले वैचारिक भंजाळलेपण थोडे तरी दूर करण्याचा प्रयत्न हे नाटक करते. क्षितिज पटवर्धन सारख्या एका तिशी ओलांडलेल्या तरुणाने हा अत्यंत गुंतागुंतीचा विषय चार वर्षांचा अभ्यास करून अडीच तासांमध्ये मांडण्याचा कष्टपूर्वक प्रयत्न केला आहे.

आपल्याला मानवीय संविधानिक मूल्यांच्या आधारावर बदल हवाय तर "भूमिका" घेणे महत्त्वाची आहे. भूमिका घेतल्याने काय सोडावे लागते? कशाचा आग्रह धरावा लागतो? त्यामुळे काय सोसावे लागते? त्यासाठी प्रत्येकाचा कसा कस लागतो? परिस्थिती समोर शरणागती कशी घेतो? या सर्वातून जेव्हा माणूस तगतो तेव्हा काय होते? याची मांडणी कमालीच्या ताकदीने क्षितिजने केली आहे. तर चंद्रकांत कुलकर्णी सारख्या मराठी रंगभूमीवर गेली २५ वर्षे त्या-त्या काळातील सामाजिक नाटके देणाऱ्या दिग्दर्शकाने हे नाटक आताचा काळ लक्षात घेऊन उभे केले आहे. सचिन खेडेकर सारख्या सामाजिक भान असलेल्या उत्तम नटाने ही भूमिका वैचारिक, भावनिक तसेच राजकीय अर्थ नव्हे भावार्थ लक्षात ठेवून उठवली आहे. यात त्यांच्या अभिनयाचा ठसा नव्हे तर एका भारतीय नागरिकत्वाचा ठसा त्यांनी उठवलेला आहे. आणि म्हणूनच त्यांच्या अभिनयात कुठलाही अभिनिवेश नव्हता, तर ते तुम्ही-आम्ही आहोत असेच वाटते.

हे आम्हाला काय सांगणार? असे ज्यांना वाटते, त्यांनी हे नाटक आधी आवर्जून पाहायला हवे आणि नंतरच त्यावर भाष्य करायला हवे. अर्थात दोन तासांत बाबासाहेबांच्या विचारांचा आणि त्याच्या प्रभावाचा इतका मोठा पट उलगडणे शक्य नाहीय. पण तरीही एका सोप्या कथानकामध्ये याची गुंफण केल्याने त्यावरून मोठा पट उलगडतो तो प्रत्येकाच्या डोक्यात आणि मनात !!!

खूप न हसवणारे मात्र मनातल्या मनात एक प्रकारच्या गुदगुल्या करणाऱ्या या नाटकाचा १२६ वा प्रयोग होता. या प्रयोगाला येण्याचा आग्रह नाटकाचे निर्माते श्रीपाद पद्माकर यांनी केला त्याबद्दल त्यांचे विशेष आभार !

सर्वांनी आवर्जून हे नाटक बघावे!
