Is your car in need of a wash? Head to Teign Close in Bishopsteignton tomorrow for a car wash, coffee and cake from 10am–2pm. All money raised will be kindly donated to our branch 💚
We want to say a massive thank you to our @Samaritans volunteers who have donated their time and compassion over the years 💚 Thank you for all that you do #VolunteersWeek
Your words are a life-saving kit. If you see someone who doesn’t look OK, a little small talk could save their life.

Being there in a time of personal crisis is something that the Samaritans of South Devon do 24/7. It was a pleasure to catch up with Robert and Trudy at the Samaritans base in Torquay town centre. Both directors have given decades of selfless service to the Samaritans. Monday 19 January is #BrewMonday - a time to check in with those you care about and connect over a cuppa. ☕ Some of our volunteers will be at Newton Abbot Railway Station from 09.00 to 12.00. Come and say hello! 👋🏻
1 in 4 people have had suicidal thoughts but you might not see that reflected in your feed on #WorldMentalHealthDay.
The world is better at talking about mental health, but suicide still seems off limits.
You can’t have one conversation without the other.

We’re out in full force for @BatonOfHopeUK tour across Torbay - say hello if you see one of our volunteers on the route. We’re the ones in bright green, you can’t miss us! 💚
And don’t forget, we’re here 24/7 on 116 123 #BringHope2TheBay
Next Tuesday (30 September) three of our volunteers will carry the #BatonofHope through #Torbay to promote better mental health, raise awareness of the impact of #suicide, and spread a message of hope 💚
If you take one thing from World Suicide Prevention Day today it should be this: if you think someone isn’t OK, ask them about it. You can interrupt someone’s suicidal thoughts. You could even save their life.
Let’s prevent suicide today. Because tomorrow’s too late.
Listen up: It's time to stop whispering about suicide.
We are losing too many to silence. Help us shout about saving lives today, on #SamaritansAwarenessDay.
