Violation of a Student’s Dignity and Privacy is Deplorable

A deeply concerning situation has recently arisen regarding a video from a cultural program organised at Maharaja Sayajirao University (MSU), Vadodara, which requires an expedient factual clarification to counter spread of misinformation.

The event unnecessarily dragged into controversy was purely cultural in nature, where students from different states showcased their respective traditions, folk dances, and artistic expressions. Official highlights of the program confirm that the sole purpose was propagating cultural expression and student participation. Unfortunately, a limited and contextless clip from this program was misleadingly shared on social media by Congress leader Srinivas B.V. Subsequently, this video was widely circulated in a coordinated manner by Congress and NSUI workers with vested interests.

What is even more serious is that the video of the concerned student was shared without her consent, leading to abusive comments, character assassination, and mental harassment. Congress leader Ragini Nayak, despite being a woman herself, made inappropriate remarks on the video and contributed to its viral spread, further intensifying the misinformation.

In a video released by the student , her distress is clearly visible, as she emotionally explains that she is not associated with any organization, yet she became a target of political malice from Congress members

It is blatant that turning an innocent student into a subject of public ridicule and mental harassment and completely disregarding her dignity, personal identity, and future is not only condemnable but also against the most basic standards of social and political conduct. This incident exposes a troubling mindset within Congress and its affiliated organizations, which appears to repeatedly engage in such behavior.

Using a few seconds of a student's video as a tool for propaganda demonstrates that these elements, losing political relevance, are willing to go to any extent for momentary attention. Even more concerning is that serious allegations of exploitation of women have frequently surfaced within Congress organizations themselves. This raises serious questions about their sensitivity and accountability regarding women’s safety and dignity. Now, even ordinary students are not safe from such malicious political agendas

It is anticipated that all individuals involved in this serious row accept responsibility and issue a public apology. Additionally, appropriate action must be ensured by the authorities against those responsible.

ફ્લેટ ટોનમાં પણ સમાચાર આપી શકાયા હોત, પણ અહીં હેડલાઇનમાં સીધું 'યુનિવર્સિટીને લાંછન લગાવતું કૃત્ય' ઘોષિત કરી દેવાયું. નીચે પણ જ્ઞાન વહેંચવામાં આવ્યું. આ પણ સરખા ભાગીદાર કહેવાય.

आज NSUI और कांग्रेस फिर साबित कर दिया कि उनके लिए नारी सम्मान कोई मूल्य नहीं, सिर्फ राजनीतिक नारा है।

कार्यक्रम के वीडियो में से महिला के वीडियो को उठाकर उसे राजनीतिक हथियार बनाना, उसे संदर्भ से काटकर फैलाना, और फिर नैतिकता का भाषण देना, यह सीधा-सीधा एक बहन की गरिमा पर हमला है।
