At SAMAVESH, we are guided by Jaipal Singh Munda, who asserted that dignity, land, and voice are inseparable from justice.
On his birth anniversary today (3 January 1903 – 20 March 1970), we remember his vision that continues to inspire us to build institutions that listen to the margins and uphold constitutional equality in practice.
At SAMAVESH, we remember Savitrimai Phule and Jaipal Singh Munda; two lives that expanded the meaning of justice in India.
Education as courage and care. Rights as dignity, land, and voice.
On their birth anniversaries, we carry forward legacies that centre the margins, strengthen just institutions, and translate learning and rights into everyday equality.
At SAMAVESH, we draw strength from Savitrimai Phule, who taught us that education is an act of courage and care.
On her birth anniversary today (3 January 1831 – 10 March 1897), her legacy continues to inspire our daily work to turn learning into dignity, access, and freedom for those kept at the margins.
They come from different lanes, neighbourhoods, and stories, yet here, they stand together with purpose.
At our year-long after-school program at @Samavesh_India, children from low income and marginalised communities prepare not just for exams or higher education, but for a future shaped by empathy, courage, and possibility.
Beyond textbooks and exams, real life enters the classroom. Goal-setting, communication drills, decision-making tasks, and the confidence to say: “I can do this.”
At @Samavesh_India, our year-long after-school program quietly does what marksheets can’t supporting children from low income and marginalised communities to build skills, not just scores.
A circle of girls. A circle of values.
At Samavesh, learning means more than sessions, it means doors opening.
From mentoring to scholarships, we work so no girl stands alone at the threshold of her future.
Our approach is intentional: 1:1 mentoring, academic support, and scholarship access; step by step.
We don’t promise shortcuts; we build pathways.
This is what values look like at Samavesh: consistency, trust, and follow-through.
From a small room in rural Maharashtra to a circle of reflection on bright futures.
Our final session on academic progression & opportunity mapping.
A reminder that dreams grow where conversations begin, and clarity takes shape when young people are heard, guided, and believed in. #SAMAVESH
In a reflective space to explore their career pathways, not just what they can pursue, but what they truly want to pursue.
In that space, dreams were shared, doubts were expressed, and new directions quietly emerged. With every conversation, they are learning to plan their journey with clarity, confidence, and choice.
#SAMAVESH
With yesterday’s mentoring and counselling session, we at @Samavesh_India reached a quiet milestone.
This journey has been built one conversation at a time: listening, setting goals, and creating clarity for each student to move forward with purpose.
As this chapter concludes, we turn towards what comes next; our Residential Cohort in January:
a space for deeper learning, focused guidance, and intentional time together to map the road ahead.
At @Samavesh_India, as we begin a new mentoring cohort under the Samavesh Scholars Program, we reaffirm a simple belief: mentoring must be personal, consistent, and rooted in trust.
Our approach is slow, intentional, and built through deep engagement and one-on-one support.
Across the table, one student at a time; we listen, guide, map the next step, and stay with them through the journey.
So they move ahead with clarity, confidence, and direction, not alone, but accompanied.
This is mentoring at SAMAVESH.
A process. A practice. A commitment.
Constitution Day 2025 at @Samavesh_India
Celebrating #SamvidhanDiwas and honouring the vision of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, who taught us that true freedom lies in dignity, equality & justice for all.
We organised a special learning session for our Samavesh Fellows on Values, Rights & Responsibilities, led by Sandeep Kamble, Samavesh Fellow, who is doing remarkable grassroots work.
At @Samavesh_India, our core work in rural and low-income communities has been with students, mentoring them, enabling them through scholarships, and supporting their learning journeys.
But behind every child is a parent navigating the maze of school enrollment, certificates, and entitlements. That’s why we also stand with parents, bridging access to justice and ensuring that no child is denied opportunity because of missing paperwork or systemic barriers.
We at @Samavesh_India are grateful to @UKinMumbai for featuring our and our founders journey from a #Chevening Scholar @LSEnews to establishing SAMAVESH, where we mentor students and bridge access to education, scholarships, and justice. @UKinIndia
From grassroot activism in Maharashtra to studying @LSEnews as a #Chevening scholar, @PravinNikams is now empowering underprivileged youth through @Samavesh_India, bridging access to education, social security, and legal identity.

at @samavesh_india alongside our work on legal identities, financial access, and mentoring for higher education, we remain deeply engaged with children from low-income communities through our community centres.
On the eve of Independence Day, we celebrated with the children and families at one of our centres in the workers’ colony, sharing stories, colours, and the spirit of freedom together.
