At the end of the day, everything you do belongs to you. All of your actions belong to you, whether good or bad, for yourself or for others, intentional or unintentional.
@aravind since PMs appeal to ppl regarding gold, oil etc I see almost all the stand up comedians have picked it up and are building their shows around it making fun of him. Is it some coincidence or DS ?
Activist: "Your cows are putting carbon into the atmosphere."
Farmer: "Where did they get it?"
Activist: "What?"
Farmer: "The carbon. Where did the cow get it before it put it anywhere."
Activist: "From... eating?"
Farmer: "From eating grass. And where did the grass get it."
Activist: "The soil?"
Farmer: "The air. The grass pulled it out of the air last spring. The cow ate the grass. The cow breathed some of it back out. It went back into the air it came from."
Activist: "But it's still going into the atmosphere."
Farmer: "It's going back. There's a difference between a thing going somewhere and a thing going back. You've described a circle and you're frightened of it."
Activist: "Then just don't have the cow."
Farmer: "The grass still dies in autumn. It rots where it falls. The carbon goes back into the air either way, just without anyone getting fed in the middle."
Activist: "It's not that simple."
Farmer: "It's grass, cow, breath, grass. Or it's grass, rot, air, grass. Same circle, fewer dinners. If that's complicated for you I'd stay away from the water cycle. That one's got clouds in it."

In a significant development, Justice Yashwant Varma has resigned as a judge of the Allahabad High Court amid ongoing impeachment proceedings, marking a serious moment for the higher judiciary.
The resignation comes in the backdrop of allegations that had already triggered institutional scrutiny and raised uncomfortable questions around accountability within the judicial system. While the resignation may bring a procedural closure to the impeachment process, it cannot and should not bring closure to the issues at hand.
Judicial office carries with it not just authority, but an extraordinary moral burden. Any shadow on that office erodes public trust in the justice delivery system itself.
What is now essential is clarity and closure. The matter must be pursued to its logical conclusion through due process, ensuring that facts are established and accountability is fixed. Institutional integrity demands nothing less.
In a democracy governed by the rule of law, credibility of institutions is paramount. There can be no ambiguity when it comes to probity in public life.

So there is an attachment theory as well for our social behabior.
A secure early environment (consistent warmth, responsiveness) often leads to treating others with trust, empathy, and openness in adulthood. Lack of the above leads to anxious & avoidant patterns. Hmm interesting.
Our social behavior stems not just from direct rewards or punishments, but by observing and imitating the people around us- esp parents, siblings, extended family... 1/n
We interpret things according to how we have been shaped. Intergenerational trauma may provide more insights to the above.
Will come back to this again..

Deep down, we know.. we know the choices, the consequences, and the cost. But sometimes the kindest thing we can do โ for ourselves โ is to remain silent and for our loved ones โ is to pray.
Only 3 countries in the world refused to let in the Covid-19 vaccines ; Haiti, Tanzania and Burundi. Guess what? All their presidents died in 2021. Coincidence?
The culture of a home is judged not by how it treats its children, but by how it treats its elders โ all of them. Disrespect to them is ingratitude wearing the mask of modernity.
