During the Shah's time, the Pakistan Air Force and Imperial Iranian Air Force (IIAF) used to conduct regular armament competitions. Th Shah was very fond of the PAF. The IIAF would show up with their F-5s, and on alternate years, PAF would take their jets to Iran.

A photo of a very one-sided scoreboard from one of those exercises, during which PAF F-6 (MiG-19) went against the IIAF F-5s, is provided below. Unfortunately, I do not have any high-quality photos of those F-5s in Pakistan, but they are available in PAF archives to be (hopefully) properly scanned and shared.

The Ministry of Defence extends its deepest condolences and sincere sympathies to the families of the two martyrs, praying that Almighty God grants them His vast mercy and gives their families patience and solace.
