💔 Meet Bonnie-she arrived at the sanctuary yesterday.
This sweet older girl was found near the Matara Passport Office in Sri Lanka after apparently being hit by a vehicle. She has a spinal injury, was screaming in pain, getting wet in the rains & struggling to walk.
Dehydrated, feverish, with a leg lesion, she’s also battling Anaplasmosis & Ehrlichiosis, tick-borne diseases.
She’s now safe, comfortable & receiving treatment. ❤️🩹
We urgently need help with her vet costs. We’ve taken in several heartbreaking cases in recent days, including a mummy dog & her tiny puppies dumped only today.
Our resources are stretched to the limit and as it stands, we do not have the funds to last till Christmas.
🙏 Please help us save Bonnie and the others

Sri Lankan security forces to assist Nepal in relief work!
After donating 1 million dollars to Nepal 🇳🇵 , while it battles one of its worst tragedies in recent times, teams from Sri Lanka’s security forces will leave for Nepal in the coming days to assist in disaster relief, Deputy Minister of Defence Aruna Jayasekara said
Sri Lanka stands ready to assist Nepal in whatever way it can. Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Nepal 🙏
Viva arrived with Raththi last Saturday.
She has a serious head wound/brain damage, believed to have been caused by a blow to the head, but we simply don’t know what happened to her. They can’t tell us their stories. 🐾🥲
All we can do is give them the care, love and treatment they need and try to bring them back from the brink.
Viva is also suffering from anaplasmosis, a serious tick-borne disease. What a heartbreaking start to such a young life.
Please help by donating to cover the treatments for all these critical cases we are trying to save.

Two Little Presents Over the Wall
Two little girls were dumped over the wall of our managers’ home during the night.
💔 Meet Cassie & Cora.
Dumping puppies and kittens is a huge issue in Sri Lanka. Despite free spay and neuter programmes, the constant influx of unwanted animals places an enormous strain on our charity.
Both pups are anaemic with Babesia & treatment has started. We already care for 2,000+ dogs & cats, many disabled or abuse cases.
Please help towards their blood tests, treatments, vaccinations, sterilisation, food & care.
Every donation helps. ❤️🐾

When it rains in Sri Lanka, it really rains! 🌧️ And for those of us doing mass feeding, the rain doesn’t mean we stop.
We still have to get out there and feed our rescues and the community dogs and cats too, often working around torrential downpours, flooded roads and soaking wet conditions.
And it’s not just a day or two, during the rainy seasons, it can rain for weeks or even months.
The dogs are still hungry. They are still waiting. So, somehow, we get out there and keep going.🩷🐶🩷
I’m thinking of everyone affected by the train derailment near Lewes this afternoon. 🧡
Sending gentle purrs to all of the passengers and railway colleagues involved, and a huge thank you to the emergency services and railway teams responding at the scene
Addie would have been considered a “hopeless case” by many.
She arrived at our sanctuary in August 2023 in a coma due to a severe brain trauma injury after an accident. Elsewhere, she may have been euthanised.
But our charity believes every dog deserves a chance. ❤️
Slowly, Addie regained consciousness. She learned to lap liquid food. We carried her in a sling to comfort her during the early stages of recovery. Then she started walking, became more alert and grew independent.
Today, Addie has been adopted by our founder and is living her best life in London. 🐾
She wasn’t hopeless. She needed someone to fight for her.
Support the charities that fight for animals like Addie and give them a chance to live, rather than giving up on them and killing them. ❤️
