پشاور کی دیر کالونی میں اسکول کی چھت گرنے سے معصوم بچوں اور اساتذہ کے جاں بحق ہونے پر دل شدید افسردہ ہے، یہ سوچ کر ہی دل کانپ اٹھتا ہے کہ جن والدین نے آج صبح اپنے بچوں کو پیار سے اسکول رخصت کیا تھا، ان کی واپسی کے بجائے انہوں نے ان کی موت کی خبر سنی، ان گھروں میں چھا جانے والے سناٹے اور والدین کے دکھ کو کوئی الفاظ میں بیان نہیں کرسکتا، سوگوار خاندانوں کے غم میں شریک ہوں اور لواحقین کے صبرِ جمیل اور زخمیوں کی جلد صحت یابی کے لیے دعاگو ہوں۔

آج میں نے کراچی کے بلدیہ ٹاؤن میں ایک ایسے اسپورٹس کمپلکس کا افتتاح کیا جہاں نہ صرف ہاکی، کرکٹ اور فٹ بال کے میدان ہیں بلکہ باسکٹ بال کورٹ، ٹینس کورٹ اور ایک ریس ٹریک بھی ہے، 25 ایکڑ رقبے پر پھیلا یہ منصوبہ بلدیہ کے نوجوانوں کے لئے پاکستان پیپلزپارٹی کا ایک تحفہ ہے، ہم نے کراچی میں ایسے ان گنت منصوبے مکمل کئے ہیں جو بینظیر بھی ہیں باکمال بھی!

The terrorist attack in Dera Ismail Khan, following the recent bloodshed in Kohat, is another painful reminder of the terrorism threat Pakistan continues to confront. My deepest condolences to the families of our martyrs and prayers for the injured. The nation stands firmly with our courageous police, law-enforcement agencies and security forces.

Pakistan has defeated terrorism before, and we will defeat it again. Terrorists, their facilitators, financiers and sponsors will be held accountable, and no territory beyond our borders will be allowed to serve as a sanctuary for terrorism against Pakistan. We will neither be intimidated nor divided. Pakistan will prevail.

تھر بدلے گا پاکستان کا خواب تعبیر پا رہا ہے۔

ہر گزرتے دن کے ساتھ تھرپارکر چمک رہا ہے، آج تھر کول بلاک ون میں پاکستان کے پہلے کوئلہ خشک کرنے والے یونٹ اور بلاک ٹو میں کان کی توسیع کے تیسرے مرحلے کا افتتاح کیا۔ اس توسیع سے بلاک ٹو کی سالانہ پیداواری گنجائش ایک کروڑ 12 لاکھ ٹن ہوجائے گی، جس سے 1980 میگاواٹ بجلی کی پیداوار ممکن ہوگی۔

میں نے تھر فاؤنڈیشن اسپتال کا دورہ کیا اور طلبہ، خواتین اور مقامی ملازمین سے بھی ملاقات ہوئی، صحرا کے ان بچوں کی قابلیت اور اعتماد میں پاکستان کا روشن مستقبل نظر آتا ہے۔

تھرپارکر کی ترقی پاکستان پیپلزپارٹی کی کارکردگی کا ہی ثبوت نہیں بلکہ اس بات کی دلیل ہے کہ اگر نیت سچی ہو تو صحرا کو بھی گل و گلزار کیا جاسکتا ہے۔

I’m pleased that the government has accepted the PPP’s suggestion to jointly engage politically with the opposition in an effort to find political solutions to political problems.

The challenge of terrorism has become an existential threat to Pakistan, particularly given the active support these groups receive from neighbouring countries.

I hope these talks conclude with the opposition unconditionally calling off its long march, allowing us to come together as a nation to combat the menace of terrorism and address the threats emanating from neighbouring countries.

The PPP has been, and will always remain, committed to combating terrorism through any and all constitutional means.

I warmly welcome the Peace Deal between the United States and Iran. This breakthrough shows that diplomacy can succeed where confrontation cannot.

I commend President @AAliZardari, PM Shehbaz Sharif @CMShehbaz and Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir @ISPR_Official for their leadership, and acknowledge DPM/FM Senator Ishaq Dar @MIshaqDar50, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi @MohsinnaqviC42, MoFA, and diplomatic teams from all sides whose dedicated efforts helped make this possible.

This is an important first step toward lasting peace. Pakistan remains ready to support the next phase of dialogue and negotiations.
