My name is Josh Turek. I'm a 4x Paralympian, 2x gold medalist in wheelchair basketball, and Iowa State Rep who won a Trump district — twice.
Now, I'm running for Senate because Ashley Hinson has failed our state, and Iowans deserve a senator who will fight for them.
Sen. Tom Harkin in the Storm Lake Times: "Josh Turek has the Iowa values, the Iowa work ethic, the Iowa “can do” spirit, and has won election and re-election to the Iowa House of Representatives in a very challenging area for Democrats."

It’s official: former Senator Tom Harkin has endorsed @turek4iowa for the United States Senate. What a poetic and beautifully fitting endorsement from the man who fought for the Americans with Disabilities Act to be supporting a candidate whose success in life has only been possible because of that legislation.
I was born with spina bifida because of my father’s exposure to Agent Orange in Vietnam. I know firsthand that wars don’t end when the bombs stop. These decisions have generational consequences.
In the Senate, I’ll oppose unnecessary, forever wars and stand with our military heroes and their families.
Honored to return to Washington High School last night to speak at the ADASTRA National Honor Society induction.
I would not be the man I am today without the educators and coaches at Wash who shaped me.
Right now, Iowa doesn't have a mental health system - we have a mental health crisis. Was glad to visit the new facility in Linn County that will help serve Iowans across the state and to be able to hear directly from professionals on what support they need. #MentalHealthAwarenessMonth
"They promised us it would save money and improve care. Instead, it drove up costs, denied care to Iowans with disabilities and helped close rural hospitals." -@SamiScheetz
Democrats have a HUGE opportunity to win back important seats in Iowa
-Gubernatorial candidate Rob Sand is reportedly up by 8 points
-We can defeat Ashley Hinson for US Senate
-And win 3 US House seats
But IA Dems need resources! Please consider donating to @RobSandIA today 1/2
Iowa really does look competitive this year. It's a combination of Trump fatigue, economy/inflation, and tariffs crushing farmers. Dem pickup opportunities include: Governor, US Senate, three House races (dream big and its all four), and its WAY cheaper than other states
A strong campaign by Democratic state Auditor Rob Sand and local economic concerns move Iowa Governor from Lean R to Toss Up.

On Friday, I was honored to help deliver meals to Linn County residents through Horizons’ Meals on Wheels program.
I am proud that Linn County continues to support this incredible program that serves some of our most vulnerable residents!
