Id disagree. It’s more to do with ticket prices and just a lack of good storylines at the moment. Closest we’ve got to a truly good one going into Summerslam is Seth and Roman.
Jim Ross attributes the low ticket sales for SummerSlam to WWE not having any white hot stars:
“I would say that WWE doesn’t have any one wrestler that’s just white hot. You got to have somebody hot. Somebody that people are talking about, and they don’t have that right now.
They got a lot of great talents. I’m not saying that, but it’s always been a matter of how they’re utilized. They got to do a better job of utilizing their talent and seeing where that takes them. You got to get somebody hot.
Wrestling has always been, at least in my opinion, an attraction-driven business. That’s like back when Austin was on fire, he would come out and they'd do a run-in or something. And it worked. They got ratings and people loved it. Right now, WWE doesn't have somebody in that role.”

This isn't the Lyra Valkyria we're used to... 😳
What does she have in store for @itsBayleyWWE THIS SATURDAY at #SNME?!?

@EDDYFAZO I feel like Stephanie’s reign is the reason they havent made Rhea vacate the title yet, they dont want to mess up their plans like they had to last year and have nothing.
Will Ospreay to Kenny Omega:
“This is my dream come true. This is the first time really that we can properly say this is the real life Goku and Vegeta fighting it out.”

Michael Cole on Sami Zayn and winning the Undisputed WWE Championship:
"Sami has an incredible connection with the audience because he's been doing this for a very long time. He has been in the business since 2002. Running independents all over the world. Finally came to us (WWE) over a decade ago. He had a really nice run as Intercontinental Champion. He was one of the stars of The Bloodline story from a couple of years ago. It felt like it was time (for Sami to become World Champion). I know a lot of people have talked about it being a participation trophy because he's served such a long time in WWE. I look at it from a story standpoint and I thought it was a great story. I thought Sami winning in a match against Cody and Gunther, two of our biggest stars, no one thought Sami Zayn was going to win the championship. They didn't think he was ever going to win the championship in his entire career here. And we pulled it off. It was a great celebration in Saudi Arabia. Sami's Muslim. He was a home favorite there. They were behind him so it was a great celebration afterward.
I always ask our viewers to have patience because there's a long-term story arc with Sami that is going to be playing out now over the fact that he lost his championship. We always ask our viewers to just try to be patient because we are going to get there. We do 52 weeks of television for Monday Night RAW and the same thing for SmackDown you know every single year. It's live TV every single week. Sometimes storylines might not progress as fast as our audience wants them to. Audience can have all the views they want. We can't do this without them. Be critical about it. Voice your opinions about it. I think people are really going to enjoy where the Sami Zayn story is going to go over the next couple of months."

Kevin Owens recalls Vince McMahon's unhappy reaction to his WrestleMania 33 match against Chris Jericho.
When Owens asked if the match was good, Vince immediately shot him down.
Kevin Owens: "Are we good?"
Vince McMahon: "No."
@NeilNevins I think what makes it extra sickening is that the series constantly portrays them as this selfless, kind hearted, warm and loving couple. Lorraine spends a good half the movies talking about how kuch she loves Ed.
Seeing a lot of “I can’t believe The Vision are having to feud with Alpha Academy ” while I’m thinking I can’t believe Alpha Academy are having to feud with The Vision
I thought the initial point of the angle is that Maxxine was frustrated by her career and saw opportunity with The Vision. Her motivation now just being that she wants to date Austin is…weird
@MichaelSFNR1 At least Liv and Dom are very self aware you know while watching it is that its for the purpose of comedy. The joke being that super hot Liv Morgan is ridiculously down for the evil dorky moustache man. Theory and Maxxine is just a big pile of nothing.
I like that they didn’t mention the chair in back this week. They kept it being about their competitive rivalry and Roman’s refusal to acknowledge Seth.
Its funny that people complain about Shield Lore when honestly the Roman and Seth feud is the only thing this company hasn’t managed to fuck up yet. Those two have found a way to keep it so compelling each time.
