Dear @MumbaiPolice,
Vehicle number: MH 06 AA 377
Rule 50 of the Central Motor Vehicles Rules requires HSRPs for all categories of vehicles.
- Private cars and bikes
- Commercial vehicles
- Government department vehicles
- Police vehicles
- Police vans
- Government buses
You give so many lectures to common people about following the rules, but your own vehicle does not have an HSRP number plate.
WOWOWOW.
He's Tukaram Mundhe, a 2005-batch IAS from Maharashtra.
Over the last few weeks, you might have heard his name. That is because he was recently appointed Commissioner of State’s Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Since taking charge, the FDA has been on an absolute warpath, raiding illegal, fake, synthetic, and adulterated products. From synthetic milk networks and adulterated paneer to illegal gutkha and unhygienic eateries, nothing has escaped his radar.
Mundhe has made it clear that even the most famous names will not get a free pass. His department shocked Mumbai by suspending the food licenses of iconic establishments, such as the 73-year-old Marine Drive ice cream parlor K. Rustom & Co., alongside famous eateries like Shalimar Hospitality, Noor Mohammadi Hotel, and Rahmaniya Restaurant, after surprise inspections uncovered severe hygiene violations, including live pests and expired ingredients.
Such is the fear of his crackdowns that, just two days ago, dairy farmers were caught on video spilling hundreds of liters of synthetic milk after rumors of an impending FDA raid spread.
This is his 25th transfer in a 21-year career, a testament to his refusal to bend to political pressure. It makes you wonder: if just one IAS officer can bring about so much change, where would our country be if every bureaucrat were as uncompromising and proactive as him?
On 5 July, at approximately 21:09 hours, at Inorbit Mall, the driver of a car bearing registration number MH02BJ9778 was driving at high speed on the wrong side of the road. He hit an elderly man and struck me.The car had tinted windows, and the number plate not HSRP-compliant.
@abhisanket Absolutely disgusting state of building public infrastructure in our country...when will our ministers, engineering firms and contracting firms be held to account for such pathetic third grade construction and use of public funds??? Is our country doomed to deserve this forever?
So missing link is now flooded and apparently closed.
Probably part of the first rain testing plan mentioned by CM Devendra Fadnavis the other day when speaking about 2 potholes.
Literally the first major rain and we are exposed!
You would think they plan for Landslides, heavy rains as the first thing when building a project in Sahyadris but no!
Corruption of the highest order?!?!?!

A daycare employee at Capgemini's Bengaluru campus couldn't bear the abuse of the kids at the centre.
She reported it to supervisor, but instead of taking action, they fired her. She then became a whistleblower and leaked videos that exposed the abuse.
In the videos, toddlers were made to sit inside the drum of a front-loading washing machine, had water sprayed into their mouths using a toilet jet spray, were locked inside bathrooms, and were forced into narrow, water-filled pipes to frighten them. The videos triggered outrage, forcing authorities to act.
Today, according to media reports, the police have arrested the whistleblower only for allegedly "leaking sensitive videos." Lol! What a system! A poor woman with a clear conscience stood up to the powerful and went public, not for personal gain or with any malicious intent, but solely to protect those children. And she's the one who gets arrested.
In a deeply embarrassing development, potholes have appeared on the newly inaugurated Mumbai-Pune Missing Link project within just two months of its launch, raising serious questions about the quality and durability of the ambitious infrastructure project. A viral video shared on Instagram showed two large potholes near the expansion joint of the cable-stayed bridge on the 13.3-kilometre stretch, triggering widespread outrage among citizens and commuters. The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) confirmed the incident, attributing the damage to heavy rainfall, and claimed that repair work was completed on priority after the contractor and officials were immediately directed to fix the potholes. Inaugurated by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Maharashtra Day in the presence of Deputy CMs Eknath Shinde and Sunetra Pawar, the Missing Link was designed to bypass Bhor Ghat and reduce Mumbai-Pune travel time by 25 to 30 minutes. However, the early appearance of potholes has left citizens questioning whether crores of rupees of public money have been well spent.

Bhutan has rejected INDIA's E20 fuel & the reason is they don’t have storage capacity facilities for "such a hygroscopic (water absorbing) fuel. In our INDIA E20 blended petrol was suddenly made mandatory and thrust upon our vehicles without any information if:
• 1 lakh+ fuel stations have underground tanks that are upgraded to store this E20 blended Fuel ? ( @nachiket1982 's RTI is as usual pending)!
For the record :
• Less than 20% vehicles on road are E20 compatible.
Yet Nitin Gadkari ji under his BETA BADHAO YOJNA & the government made E20 fuel mandatory since 2025 & our “wise” minister Hardeep Puri ji defends it!
Bhutan actually checked the science and infrastructure & cared about their people(s)!
We have just thrust Ethanol 20 blended petrol on the nation!
