Tesla's data lead in Full Self-Driving is absolutely massive — and it's widening every day.
As of January 2026:
Tesla FSD fleet: ~7.1–7.4 billion cumulative miles (mostly real-world supervised driving feeding the AI)
Waymo (closest real competitor in driverless miles): ~130–140 million fully autonomous miles
Cruise & others: single-digit to tens of millions at best..
That means Tesla has ~50× more relevant driving data than Waymo and literally hundreds to thousands of times more than almost everyone else combined.
Pie chart reality check (approximate shares of total autonomous-relevant miles):
Tesla ≈ 97–98%
Waymo ≈ 1.8–2%
Everyone else <1–2% combined
At current pace (~1 million+ active FSD miles per day, heading toward millions more), Tesla will likely hit Elon's stated 10 billion mile target for safe unsupervised FSD sometime mid-2026.
Meanwhile, competitors would need decades at their scale to catch up — even with aggressive growth.
Data moat = real moat. $TSLA's edge here is structural, not hype.
Who else is this far ahead in any AI/autonomy race right now?

So, like, I get that you have to hate him for whatever reason. Maybe you really believe he's evil. Nevertheless, you would have to agree that having thousands of robot surgeons is only to benefit humanity, right? I mean, you agree that is a good thing, right? having medical services affordable and for far more people?
Why doesn't Elon help people?
If I was as rich as him I'd be giving internet to the world, covering the world to renewable energy, trying to get humanity to Mars, giving quadriplegics literal telekinesis and ending automotive accidents by making vehicles self driving.
He's selfish is why. Selfish I tell you!
@SarcasmStardust So in your case, it is still not the money itself making you happy, but the act of kindness for others, so you don't prove any point. Also, if it was really true, then why use having no money as an excuse for not helping others? If it made you happy, you would do it regardless.
