@Sargon_of_Akkad Essentially, if you end up needing Medicare to pay for your end of life care, because your retirement funds have dried up... the US government will put a lien on your home for those costs. So even boomers with paid off homes, wont be able to hand those off to kids.

@Sargon_of_Akkad The US Government is probably going to be owning a lot of these, if I'm not mistaken... given that most boomers tend to not have a ton of liquid assets to pay off their end of life care. Medicare, I think, has a provision where they basically get to take your home after death.
