Position Sizing Across Markets
Position sizing is the difference b/w controlled risk and account-blowing risk. It’s pure math:
Decide how much to trade so a full stop-loss costs only an accepted risk
Good strategy + wrong size = disaster.
Same strategy + correct size = Survive
A good trade is not one that hits TP; a good trade is one where you executed your plan perfectly.
A trade that hits Stop Loss according to plan is a Success.
A trade that you exit early out of fear even if it makes a profit; is an Execution Error
Sunday is for preparation, not prediction.
Review your rules.
Clear your mind.
Decide what you will and won’t do next week.
The traders who last treat the weekend as part of the process.
Markets are closed, so this is the time to review your trades, journal what worked, and reset for Monday.
No chasing setups.
No forcing trades.
Just reflection.
How you spend your Weekends often decides how you trade your Monday.
Saturday is for resetting.
Go outside.
Touch grass.
Spend real time with family.
Give yourself a small treat.
The market will still be there on Monday.
A clear head is part of the process.
Protect the battery.
Knowing when to enter a trade is skill.
Knowing when to stay out is mastery.“No trade” protects capital & mental edge.
Filter hard.
Size the yes aggressively.
Preserve first. Compound later
It’s funny how I just did the exact thing I always preach against.
Took a trade, got to 3R, moved my TP further out and took nothing off the table…
Only for it to reverse and leave me with zero.
Lesson paid for in full.
A Man's wealth is not in the money which is in his accounts but in the streams of incomes and assets he has accumulated with the money that was in his accounts..
The market is a place where people get rich and poor very fast.
If you survived this week without blowing your account, take a breather and reset.
Survival is the first win.
The goal isn’t to win every trade.
The goal is to still be in the game after 100 trades.
Protect your capital.
Follow your rules.
Let time do the rest.
Most traders spend the weekend looking for the next “holy grail.”
The smart ones spend it preparing to execute the plan they already have.
Big difference.
Most traders keep looking for better psychology.
What they actually need is a written plan that has already been stress-tested with real data.
Until that exists, Many emotional struggle is just a symptom.
Did you take any trades today?
Bullish?
Bearish?
Or pure sideline mode — watching the tape, protecting capital, waiting for a cleaner setup?
Drop your stance below. No ego, just real talk.
Most traders focus on entries and indicators.
The ones who last focus on this instead:
- Staying disciplined when it’s hard
- Controlling emotions after wins and losses
- Executing the plan without hesitation
- Protecting capital first
- Accepting what the market is doing
Waiting to catch the move is no longer the hard part.
The real test is sitting through it after you’re in… and letting it actually reach target without folding.
I've been hearing "there's light at the end of the tunnel" since I was a child.
Decades later... we never reach the end.Abi the light still dey or somebody don off am? 🔦😂🇳🇬
Markets are closed.
Charts are quiet.
This is the best time to review your trades, journal properly, and reset your mind for the week ahead.
No FOMO. No pressure. Just reflection.
How you spend Sundays often decides how you trade Mondays
