what's actually amazing about jk rowling is that she had so much accumulated goodwill amongst fans, enough that people were lining up round the block for every new scrap of hp marginalia she released, and she managed to blow it all in a couple of years by leaning in to terfism.

Leaving the same literary agency as JK Rowling felt awful at the time, particularly in the aftermath. A year later, I've healed & moved on. Standing up for what you believe in is challenging & freeing. Being trans isn't a debate, it's our lived experience / quest for happiness
